It would be hard for Peterman to not improve his numbers, seeing as how he has a 598/3/13 line (yes, that's 13 picks, 9.2% of his throws have been picks!!) for an abominable 4.2 Y/A. Career passer rating of 32.2, which is worse than throwing incomplete passes on every throw!
My prediction is 220+ yards with 2+ TDs for him.
Aaaand I'm probably going to regret this post when he shreds our defense looking like a very capable quarterback. Ick.
Yeah, Peterman is not an NFL level QB. Not even as a backup. And as if that were not bad enough, the OL has IR'd the LG, C and RG we started the season with. The RT, Larry Borom, is not starting quality either (a second year guy who was a 5th round draft pick), and due to the number of injuries on the OL, he has been sharing snaps at LG... at least that's what they did last week. It's like watching a really horrible circus act. Even some of our backups on the OL are out now. The best remaining OL guy we have is an 5th round rookie kid at LT. He actually shows a bit of promise for the future. But he is struggling now... about what you'd expect from a 5th round rookie trying to be an NFL starting LT.
The only decent WR we havd was Mooney who was a decent WR3 last year, who was pressed into service as our WR1 this year. But he's on IR now too. The rest of the receivers are stone hands guys who couldn't run a decent route to save their souls. The Bears D front-7 are the worst in the league. We can't stop the run at all.
LOL, it's like a bad country western song with all the woes and struggles going on this year with the Bears :-)
I expect the Bears to just try to run the ball most of the day. There will be zero chance of a passing game. There is nobody to pass, nobody to catch and nobody left to block - for the passing game. Even if the Vikings rest their starters they should win this one easily. Brace yourself because you are about to see some butt ugly football from the Bears on Sunday. It hurts to see the game played this poorly. It really does.
