Heres what I’m looking for; realistic deals. What makes a realistic deal with our cap situation? A player that has a cheap cap hit, plays a position we NEED, good PPF grades, and a team that is out of the playoff chase. The problem with the latter is that there are teams with crappy records, who you think might be selling, who are also in bad divisions. Did you know the Carolina Panthers at 2-6 are only 2 games out of their division lead?
In addition, the trades I’m looking to make are also for players who DONT have ballooning contracts. There are maybe better players available for less then say $5m this year but next year, their contracts balloon to $9m or $10m+. We are not going to trade for a player who severely impacts our 2023 cap.
Here we go:

KICKER
Just go get Carlson back from LV. We need to have faith in that position and Joseph is just not cutting it for me.
There’s my list. Those are our positions of need. With our cap situation, we don’t need a WR. Let me ask you, our of Thielen and Osborn, who loses significant reps if you bring in another fairly big named receiver?
We are only going to make a trade if it makes sense. To make sense, it has to be an immediate upgrade, with a player who can make an impact within a week, and doesn’t affect our already dismal cap for 2022 & 2023.
