I don’t care how we got to 4-1. You can nit pick. Go ahead. Just remember how we endured all those endless what-if losses the last two seasons and now you want to do the same with this year’s wins. Just stop. We are 4-1 baby! Just enjoy the moment.
We win this week not because our opponent is starting a 7th round draft pick rookie at quarterback. I EXPECT Thompson to throw for 190 and a touchdown. I EXPECT this game to be close.
Here’s why we win:
(1) WE KEEP LEARNING! Fact is this team is just 5 games in on a new scheme for both sides of the ball. They are still learning how to play it. Each week gets a little better and I think they will take it a tick or two further. The defense will give up less yards and points. The offense will be more consistent and drives will be longer.
(2) THE MIAMI DEFENSE IS A LIE! Sure they held Buffalo in check. However, they’re other games are abysmal. They’ve given up 27 or more points 3 out of 5 games. They’ve given up 400+ yards twice. They are very vulnerable and we have the play caller and the skill players to execute a plan to exploit those weaknesses.
(3) ITS BYE WEEK EVE! It’s the final game before the bye week. In the last 10 seasons, the Vikings are 8-2 in the game leading up to the bye. Also, in the last 5 years, the Dolphins are just 4-4 leading up to the a Primetime which they have next week.
This won’t be easy. It will be another nail biter. But we got this. With so much negativity around this 4-1 team from fans who just can’t allow themselves to believe, I will not be add to the bad vibe.
