What they're saying:
The question of how good of a hire Ryan Nielsen was will certainly get answered in this game. The individual matchup I’d like to highlight will be between Mike Remmers and Cameron Jordan. Both players are familiar with each other from Remmers’ time in Carolina, and believe it or not Jordan was held without a sack in both games against Remmers last season. The caveat to that is Bradford is a stationary target, unlike Newton, thus how Jordan decides to attack Remmers with no worries of a QB escaping the pocket could be totally different. I fully expect Cam Jordan to eat on Monday Night.
I'm really worried about Rhodes. The dude is a freak when it comes to taking away #1s. Although, I thought the same thing about Sherman last year and MT out muscled him all day that game. How has Rhodes done against big, physical guys like Dez Bryant and Alshon Jeffery?
I'm liking the Coleman in the slot vs Mackenzie at nickel. We will probably have better than expected success running the ball than passing against them. Pretty sure they ranked lower than us in run defense the last few years.
I think you hit on something I've definitely considered lately with the Play Action. I think the Vikings D will bite on that early and often. My prediction for the first play of the game is a PA slant with AD in the backfield to throw them off. Everyone will expect Peterson to get a look early which makes it a perfect setup for the play action.
I believe this Game will be won or lost by our D. Line. If they have a strong presence we will when this.....! We have a couple players I think can show up and shine in this game. I also think us winning the first game is very important this year and the couching staff is gonna bring the best game possible
Here's a rebuttal: I don't think Kamara will be used like the 3rd RB on the depth chart. I think he's our most talented RB and will get a lot of touches Monday night, both in the running and passing game. He will be used in the passing game out of the backfield, in the slot, and out wide. He will have runs designed to go inside and outside. It's going to be fun to see how Payton utilizes him in his game of gridiron chess with the Vikings.
If our DBs can play a good press man coverage and LBers get in the right position I like our chances. The D-line needs to make its presence known as well.
If they can do the above and keep Min at a low score then CP and Drew will figure out how to score on them. Keep it a lower scoring game with good time of possession and I love our chances. Also field position will be key if its a low scoring game.

To me this is easy money..48 O/U..take the under. Saints D will step up in first game of the year despite some early flashiness from the Vikings offense. We get a well earned 25-17 W
Hunter vs Ramczyk is a key match up, but we "can" run to the right side where Warford and Streif should win more than they lose. I think we'll finally see a lot of screens, tunnel screens, jet sweeps, and wheel routes by Ingram, Kamara, AD, and Ginn. Those tend to test young LBs.
If our offensive line can give Drew time, "Game Over". D-line will be fine. I don't know if Dalvin Cook will make a difference. Did not watch him at all.
Our key will be defending the edge and gap discipline.
Our defensive coaches are salivating! Look for stunts and a variety of blitz schemes. Bradford's head will be on a swivel. I believe the Saints will have a combined 10+ QB hurries & sacks in this game.

Linebackers will be the key to victory as we now have the ability (at least on paper), to cover the TE and RB for short passes and check-downs. If the LBs are successful, we will pull out a W.
If Bradford stays true to his strengths, he will try to get the ball out early and the CB and Safety speed will be less of a factor for a large part of the game. If Anzalone has a great opening game, we should be in good shape.
Another key that isn't getting much attention. Dalvin Cook. He's a lot like Kamara, Mixon, and Hunt. He was excellent at breaking tackles at FSU. I think he challenges our defense as much as anything. RBs don't seem to have as tough a learning curve as many positions. Our front 7 with KV, Bell, and PJ (who looks like a "thumper" at CB) should be able to diffuse him, and I hope so, because that's going to matter in this game.
Adrian will have his opportunities.
Side note - Vikings were ranked #3 in total defense last season. They were +11 in turnovers (Saints were -3). We must force turnovers to have any shot at being successful this season.

Hope we stick it to them worst than their playoff loss when we won the SB nothing against Brett F but it's going to be nice to screw them again I hope AP has at least one score. Haters never really win. Sam is going to take a bruising.
I am not expecting much out of their offense and I think this will be a good start to our new defense. I would really like to see us keep them under 14 or at least not allow them to throw all over us.
As for the offense, well I expect good things out of them. We have a big new weapon this year and I think we could easily put up 21 but I would really love to see a final score of 28-10 or something similar.

I think we'll make them cry about bountygate.
All I know is the Saints eat on prime time while the Vikings choke on prime time, and we have won the last three meetings.
I don't think setting the bar at keeping them below 14 points is a healthy estimate. I don't think our defense is a brick wall-- I don't think it ever was meant to be. I would just love to see us generate turnovers-- if we have a positive turnover ratio, I'll be happy with our defensive performance.
48,000 to -800. f*cking destroy them
Realistically, 24-17 us

31-13. Their offense will be in for a rude awakening if they think it'll be the same old Saints D
Vikings offense is a joke and our def looks solid, so as long as we can move the ball on offense and score points we should be good to go imo
I'm predicting 28-3 final score. Saints on top.
I rent a room from my BiL, a MN native and Vikes fan, so I've adopted them (salt and all) as my #3 team. I don't follow them as closely as my Saints, but I'm somewhat knowledgeable.
I think we'll blow them out. Cam will dominate and it's going to be a coming out party for Kikaha/Okafor/Muhammed. We'll have to remember not to bank on that, though, because the MN O-Line is in rough shape.
Additionally, the sun will set in the west, the government will tax us, death will come for you, and the Saints offense will put up points.
Calling the Saints victory 34-16.

whatever the result, i am just happy that i am not a whiny vikings fan still crying about sh*t that happened 7 years ago.
