Negative and/or hate clicks score better than 'this team is great' clicks, for one.
If you go back and listen or read my old stuff, I was very critical of the team when warranted. Look, I love the Vikings, like all of us, but I am not a purple homer. I just think this team is good this year.
The Saints, without a handful of key players, gave us all we could handle.
Do we manage even keeping it close to a single team in this league without Cousins, Jefferson, Cook, Cleveland, and Smith?
As I keep pointing out, we were fortunate to play a banged up Packers team. I still think we win in Week 1, but against the Saints? No way we win if they were a bit healthier. They were just a couple of plays away from the upset. Pretty sure having a key guy (or five) back would've made the difference. We have Campbell to thank for the Lions win.
So, yeah, I guess we're good if we keep playing bad teams and the better teams are severely banged up. But if our injury luck runs out? We're effed, because like it or not, we're barely surviving with all the injury luck and penalty luck on our side!
The Vikings have to improve quite a bit before I'll say they're "good." I think "fortunate" is a better description as things stand today.
We're going to need to change your name to Nancy ya negative ninny!
