Not really, and what do you mean by later? The 12th game, playoffs? What some of those fancy stats could do is give you a good idea of what an individual team's weaknesses and strengths are but on any given Sunday your team can get their ass kicked if they don't execute enough plays in the 3 phases of an NFL game. Just ask the Chiefs and Bills how it worked out for them in week 3. Both of those teams have good individual and team stats but still lost to inferior teams. That can and will happen in the playoffs as well.

Just for sh*t and giggles, I looked up the standard NFL statistical acronyms. I believe there are 56 of them. In those 56, they did not include DVOA, TOP or WAR. Now we have some kind of bayesian theory stat sh*t going on. When does it stop? If I were to guess there must be over 156 statistical categories that are over-analyzed daily. Don't be surprised if PFF makes up a new one tomorrow.

More like analyzing. Again, KO, Cousins, Thielen, Cook, P2, etc. have been saying similar things about being more consistent, playing for four quarters, putting teams away, and so on. Everyone is happy they won those ugly games, but it's also fair to be frustrated about how those games came to be ugly in the first place. The Bears scored 7 points tonight, at home, against a bad Commanders team. Fields and that offense have been a bad meme all season. Our team let them hang around. How is that not a red flag? Would be if you're a contender... But it isn't about one game. We see a pattern here, and the red flags have been popping up for a month now. Gotta clean it up, and ASAP.

C. Vikings win Big in Miami- Everyone will say Vikings have improved tremendously

And then to most on here, what they do the in their next game will create scenario A B or C all over again.

It is time to separate themselves from the bottom dwellers on the field and not just in the standings.

This isn't going to fit the agenda of many but this isn't shaping up to be a Haves versus Have Nots kind of a year. The Eagles are the only Team without an ugly loss. You know it's a Parity Year when the Gaints and Jets are winning.

There is value in considering past performance. The Packers typically righted their ship and been consistently good while the Vikings have teased success, but ultimately fall back to mediocrity.

The Packers have not looked good this season at all, the Vikings did, once, against the packers. At this point I'd call it a coin flip as to which team is likely to take the division, with a slight edge to the Vikings due to the schedule. But I'm just some random homer. If I were betting or putting my reputation on the line as a media guy I can understand why they may see the Packers as the safe bet.

Meh, the bobbleheads default to Puker worship...so, naturally, our win was just "luck" or something.

The way I see it, optimistic though it may be:

we're 4-1, and at least a couple of the wins have come in games we've recently found ways to lose. The team is still gelling, the offense in particular seems to be showing its cards in a slow, gradual manner, and the defense is flawed but miles above its recent 30th place rankings.

I don't think we've really seen the team as it will be, not yet. It may be December before things are fully clicking, before we actually see what KOC is building with the players.

OK, KOC...time to earn that money and acclaim...!
