Remember when it was rumored Rick Spielman almost pulled off a trade to move up and draft Justin Fields?
Justin Fields is absolutely awful... What a terrible QB class as a whole. Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones... Yuck....
I wouldn't want any of them right now. Drafting a quarterback unless you have the number one pick in the right year it's just a recipe for disaster unless you get extremely lucky and when are the Vikings ever lucky?
We only have about a 30 more games in the Cousins era and I am scared sh*tless if we're going to draft a quarterback. Just bring on the next retread that's at least a known quantity the deck is so stacked against you if you draft a quarterback because every single quarterback is always a reach. I remember saying in 2021 none of those quarterbacks except for Trevor Lawrence, which is just a case of having the number one pick in the right year, should be taken in the first two rounds on quality of prospect. But just because they are quarterbacks they get drafted way higher than they should and set franchises back years. Even worse when you're one of those desperate sucker teams which mortgage their future to reach on a QB prospect... The 49ers were so close to being a really good team now they won't be relevant for a few years in terms of being a real competitor for a championship. They traded three first round picks and that is the dumbest thing a team could do and should get John Lynch fired.
