How Much Improved Should Our Rushing Offense Be?

The Minnesota Vikings were a horrific rushing team last year. How horrific?
1. Seven individual running backs had more total rushing yards than our team did total.
2. The Buffalo Bills...QUARTERBACK had more rushing yards than our leading rusher, Jerrick Mckinnon
3. McKinnon was 32nd in the league in yards and Matt Asiata was 48th.
4. We were 26th for rushing TDs and last in total yards, yards per game and yards per attempt.
5. The 2016 Vikings went from 2200 yards/18 touchdowns to 1200 yards/9 touchdowns.
The team was almost 50 percent less effective than it was in 2015.
If the team's additions of Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray, as well as a revamped offensive line, can make this team an even league average 16th place in yards, it would mean almost an addition of five hundred yards on offense. If this team improves to even league average as a rushing offense, I think that would be worth 3 net points a game.
My prediction is 1800 rushing yards, 16 touchdowns. A bit better than league average and surely a target to be hit. The additional seven touchdowns would equal out to an additional 3 points a game just by themselves.
The revamped rushing attack is my number one reason for picking this team to beat the 8.5 Over/Under for wins.
