PFF had them as the highest graded team in the NFL in 2021.

They won 12 games in arguably the toughest division in the NFL.

Stafford is far from perfect, is not on the same level as a Mahomes, Brady or Rodgers, and as I stated in this thread, did not transform under McVay into anything different than he was with the Lions. He still had his issues that would have lost a lesser team like the Lions games, but on a very good team, one of the best of the past decade, those flaws didn't matter as much.

Still, even with all that talent the Rams needed Stafford to step up at times to help them win games against good opponents. In the four playoff games Stafford won, just about any starting QB wins that first one against AZ and maybe even the 3rd one against SF, but it took a really good performance against TB that probably only 10 QBs are realistically capable of to get out of the divisional round. Kirk Cousins doesn't have that performance in the playoffs it took to win that game and neither do over half the starting QBs in the NFL.

Truth is Kirk is better and will NEED to be better than Stafford to win a Superbowl here in Minnesota. You know you have a stacked defense when you don't blitz a single time, yet generate 7 sacks and 27 pressures! Not that I'm deflecting blame from Frazier - a good DC knows when to blitz, and when not to.

Rams pff pass blocking grade for the game was 37.2. Their lowest for any game for the previous two seasons. Could be that the bills d line is just that good but if the Rams o line is anywhere close to this bad, stafford is gonna throw 30 ints

It's a shame this forum was around 10 years ago... There's such a Leslie Frazier love fest all of a sudden. It's going to be funny if Mike Zimmer is the DC of a great defense in a couple years if he will get the same love. Let alone Frasier was one of the worst coaches in Vikings history and Zimmer was one of the best.

It's going to be funny if Mike Zimmer is the DC of a great defense in a couple years if he will get the same love. So you're saying Mike Tice was a better Coach than Mike Zimmer?

Mike Zimmer was probably the third best coach in Vikings history. 4th if you want to stretch it and put Jerry Burns ahead of him but that's just not my opinion at all. And I loved Burns, he was the first coach I remember us having but to be fair Mike Zimmer was a better coach. Not saying necessarily he was more likeable to people that care about that kind of stuff and he probably has a bad taste in some people's mouths right now which hurt his case a little more. We can all say waa waa was we had bad coaches. I don't buy that because I was born in 1979 and correct me if I'm wrong but off the top of my head I think maybe there was three seasons where we weren't playing meaningful football in December. Look at teams like the dolphins and jets and other franchises that routinely have their seasons over by Halloween. Things could be a lot worse for us although I will argue in some sense sometimes it's better to have no hope at all than to constantly get your hopes up and just have this team crush your soul.

But if your argument is that Mike Tice is a better Coach than Mike Zimmer it's best to.... I don't even know... Find something else to do I guess. 😂

No I didn't say Tice was better just 2 playoff wins in 8 seasons is not great. Tice even managed one.
Yes he's 4th in my book out of 10 so far. Jerry gets 3rd for his playoff record and his 18 years of previous service to the team as OC of 4 SB teams. We've had some real bad coaches was my point.
