This year has seen one crazy NFL FA season. So why not just get a little crazier. Here is my shaken' not stirred mock draft (no trades).
JAX - DE Travon Walker, GA - they run a 3-4 base which gives him the edge over Aiden. Paired with OLB Josh Allen on the opposite end and that could be trouble for the AFC South.
DET - QB Malik Willis, Liberty - It's the perfect spot for him to sit and learn while they absorb Goff's cap hit. And the Lions haven't had a decent running game since Sanders retired.
HOU - S Kyle Hamilton, ND - Lovie Smith will want his defensive leader.
NYJ - CB Sauce Gardner, Cincy - Gardner in the big apple gives you applesauce (couldn't resist).
NYG - DE Aiden Hutchinson, Mich - if anyone can maximize his potential, it would be Andre Patterson.
CAR - QB Kenny Pickett, Pitt - the Panthers weren't interested in any FA's, supposedly. Pickett has enough moxie in him that it might just save Rhule's job.
NYG - OT Evan Neal, Bama - Solder didn't really work out, so plug n' play a new starter for 10 years.
ATL - WR Drake London, USC - give Mariota the biggest fastest combo target in the draft, could be interesting with Patterson as their RB.
SEA - OT Ikem Ekwonu, NC St - they lost a bidding war to NE for T. Brown, and SEA desperately needs to fix the OT spots, yes, I do mean plural.
NYJ - DE Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon - they thought about him and wanted him at #4 and here he's still available at 10. Running to podium.
Wash - CB Derek Stingley, LSU - maybe best upside CB in the draft and there have been talks of them wanting PP, who could definitely help this guy figure out the NFL (insert MINNY hope here).
Minn - CB Trent McDuffie, Wash - Maybe high but I like him, he's up and down with rankings but grades well on PFF. Not the only corner taken for Minn this year.
HOU - DE Jermaine Johnson - Lovie Smith is going to fix one side this year. Jury is still out on QB Davis Mills as the future so why not the defense first.
Balt - DT Jordan Davis, GA - the Ravens need front 7 help, they signed Pierce but that's not enough
Phil - WR Garrett Wilson, OSU - might go CB here but think they will sign Gilmore soon and they are desperately looking for WR help.
Phil - LB Devin Lloyd, Utah - they could use a playmaker in the front seven to pair with Reddick, Cox, and Barnett.
LAC - OT Charles Cross, MS St - some things just fall your way and Storm Norton wasn't the answer in protecting Herbert.
NO - OT Trevor Penning, N. Iowa - they lost the bidding war to Miami for Armstead, so they grab the next best tackle to protect Winston.
Phil - C Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa - the other Kelce almost retired (although this would be a great spot for Ojabo and let him recover).
Pitt - QB Desmond Ridder, Cincy - Mitch is a rental, Ridder has great upside and is big enough to take the hits from the tough AFC North.
NE - MLB Nakobe Dean, GA - Hightower and his backup are still FA's at this time. He fits a BB mold for LB.
GB - DE George Karlaftis, Purdue - Rodgers contract hurt in many areas, might as well start with the Defense. They won't draft a WR in the first just because Adams left.
Ariz - WR Chris Olave, OSU - Murray seemed lost without Hopkins last year. A j Green experiment went south & Kirk is gone, so insert another deep threat.
DAL - OG Kendall Green, Tx A&M - the OL needs rebuilding and JJ likes nearby guys when he can get them.
Buff - OG Zion Johnson, BC - Safford is signed but the other OG spot is weak. Protect Josh Allen at all costs.
Tenn - WR Trevon Banks, Ark - utility threat for Tannehill to go along with RB Henry, and WRs AJ Brown & Robert Woods.
TB - QB Matt Corral, Ole Miss - Bruce Ariens is not going to be caught off guard when Brady retires. Has a year to develop and learn from the goat.
GB - OT Bernard Raimann, C. Mich - protect Aaron, just don't draft any WRs in the first round for him, they can be taken later.
KC - DE Boya Mafe, Minn - they need a better rush to pair with Jones and Clark, as seen by adding Ingram last year.
KC - WR Jamison Willaims, Bama - Ju Ju is a one year rental, so Williams can sit and heal properly behind JJSS, might be available for the playoffs.
Cincy - CB Kaiir Elam, FLA - just seems like a Bengal CB, and he should be better than Trae Waynes on day one.
DET - DT Devante Wyatt, GA - should be instant starter as either DE or DT. Don't worry they have the 34 pick (S Daxton Hill, Mich or WR Jahan Watson, PSU).
fire away on the thoughts.
