Is it, though? Everyone is dismissing this year's QB class as trash and pointing to next year as the year to get the QBOTF. Are there 4-5 legitimate talents there or not? Or is this talk of "next year" largely empty promises? And you wonder why Cousins was extended?

I actually just looked for myself too, because no one seems too eager to brag up all these potentially great 2023 quarterbacks. Yep, outside of the two you mentioned, it's a lot of maybes. If we were supposed to be reassured by the 2023 QB class, I certainly wasn't after that very brief research.

I mean, you're not wrong. And, I love your energy. But - BUT - you should use that energy to debate why it's not all doom and gloom! Tell 'em why they're wrong. The good fan/bad fan approach never goes anywhere. It's no different than those who say, "You're happy with mediocrity! You don't want a championship! You just don't want to be Detroit!" Implying their tantrums mean they muuuuust care more. It's the same thing. It's April. I have no idea why either side is this BIG MAD! Everyone just needs to settle the heck down. Take a breather. And, also, a lot of these threads are in good fun, like members being sarcastic and/or laughing at ourselves. Or, ya know, mentally preparing for the worst, I suppose. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. That seems rather smart, if you're a Vikings fan, no?

Hyperbole to make a point is one thing. But some of the absolutely over the top sh*t this joker says makes it clear he's only interested in shock value.

The only part she was "dead wrong" about is when she initially said you were not wrong lol, given how much nonsense is in the post. The rest of the message to you makes a lot of sense and she is right it is happening both ways among fans right now. You are just the other side of that extreme but the issue is a lot of people aren't actually discussing anything. It's ranting or hyperbole like this instead of any real discussion, this is a JJ thread you just picked a random spot to rant. 

Zimmer did get us a playoff appearance with Teddy and Case with a strong defense prior to Cousins. With Case as QB we made it further than Cousins ever has in his career. Cousins win loss record is pretty disappointing, we were better prior to him being here in that sense too. His contract numbers have been discussed many times over and there is one going on in another thread, the reality is he has high cap hits on a regular basis. All of this information is real and factual lol, you just listed a bunch of factual information you don't like basically. What is the real information that should slow people down even?

Telling those that disagree with you not to be fans while implying or saying they are heroin addicts/pissants/sackless babbling ass clowns etc. is quite extreme so I don't mean to compare others to your level necessarily but the point is there are generally people both ways going over the top. You are part of the issue with posts like the last two in this thread. This forum has multiple posters that have done the misrepresenting or questioning fandom in discussions I have been a part of/engaged in already (often not responding to real information or trying to have a real discussion). Often times it seems to simply be because factual information they don't like has been pointed out and it's easier to mindlessly attack or make up strawman arguments to argue against than make an actual point in response to what was said.

I have no problem with discussions, I called out the people that are dead-set on us being doomed already; in fact, many of them were writing "their team" off before winter even ended.

I have no problem with disagreements and discourse, and you should quit pretending you know me.  I'm sick of the overwhelming piles of full-on "we're already f***ed" babble across the Purple fandom.  I thought I'd made that pretty clear.

I'm STOKED that we have a new regime in charge, even if I didn't blame Rick quite as much as some others seem to.  I'm actually wildly optimistic that the new approach will benefit the Vikings on all sides of the ball, and the removal of our obsolete curmudgeon will have more effect than exchanging any single player ever could.  Yeah, every brand-new HC has teething problems and we'll see that...but I don't think we're gonna suffer much.

As far as Cousins, I've said many times/places (including here) that while I do like and support him, he's a bit of a mystery because his entire NFL career has been...bizarre.  Years on the bipolar Washington team in the Snyderverse, where he was the consolation prize after Subway's favorite sandwich shill popped his knee?  That's a helluva way to enter the league.  That team has been a mess under Snyder since he bought it, and it's hard to get a gauge on Cousins from that period...although he did run for more TDs, then.

In Purple?  We know, now, that his own HC barely spoke to him, wouldn't do film work with him 'til this last season, wouldn't allow audibles, and was seemingly happy running Cook straight into DTs more often than not, leaving Cousins to clean up the resulting 3rd and 8 (WHISTLE-FALSE START), sorry, 3rd and 13, behind a bad interior line.

Yeah.  Mystery.  Honestly, all we know is that he can product top 10-ish numbers in a dumb set of circumstances.

I kinda thought, if I'm honest, that Stafford's current position as reigning NFL Champion QB would be a lesson to the "win record" crowd, as Stafford's record is well short of .500, despite his obvious skill set.  I've always kinda wondered about the people hung up on that, because guys like Favre were constant reminders that even QBs totally beloved by the sporting media were only as good as their supporting cast.  If his WRs didn't make his desperation throws work, he'd get picked off pretty regularly.  Similarly, media darling QBs like Russell Wilson mysteriously haven't been championship contenders as their lines/defenses have fallen off....

...again, obvious lessons out there.

Happy to discuss 'em.  Yep, I vented on those posts, because seeing this thread title, after two months of "we're totally f***ed" posts across the Vikings sites, tweets, and everything else, I've got no interest in retaining any of those people in our colors.  It's one thing to be cynical, but damn...!

Anyway, I guess my take on things is a bit strong for some.  We'll disagree, and I guess I'll vent more gently, or elsewhere.
