Flores Racial Discrimination Lawsuit

If Ross were racist, why'd he hire Flores to begin with?

I'm sure I mentioned this somewhere in one of the off topic subjects once upon a time, but maybe part of the problem is, minorities/women make it impossible for their employer to fire them? Even if they're bad at their job, an employer has to dot their t's and cross their i's to fire them, and even then they're going to get a lawsuit, racism/sexism accusations, and bad publicity. Maybe they'd get hired more often if they made themselves more fireable? Accept that maybe you were just bad at your job instead of using your skin color or orientation as an excuse every time. If you hire a straight white guy, you can fire him at anytime for any reason and nobody is going to care. How is that not more appealing as an employer?

Where's the evidence that black candidates have to go above and beyond their white counterparts anyway? Sounds like feels before facts to me. If anything I would say the opposite were true these days. Everyone is big on the diversity buzzword in current era. White coaches are fired all the time after a year or 2. The Browns were firing white guys every year once upon a time. White coaches have even been fired after playoff wins.

But somehow I'm expected to believe the NFL is racist when 70% of the players are black? Why don't the owners employ the same tactics they supposedly use to keep minorities from becoming coaches, to prevent them from filling roster spots too? As I pointed out earlier, most black candidates are from the defensive side of the ball (why is that anyway?) while more and more teams embrace offense. We're seeing the opposite happen at the QB position. More and more teams want a mobile RPO type QB so we're seeing more and more black QB's and fewer white pocket passers. But I'm guessing that trend is not racism?

Sometimes there are reasons outside of skin color that better explain what's happening. If someone sees racism in everything, how is their bias any better than someone who is actually racist? And who cares if all the coaches are white? What's wrong with white people? Are we supposed to be color blind or not? People are quick to point out how only 1 of the 32 HC's are black, but nobody seems to mind that only 1 of the 32 starting RB's are white, or that 0 of the 220 CB's are white. Where's the Rodney Rule that says you gotta tryout at least 2 white corners before you fill a roster spot? The last white corner I remember was Jason Seahorn from 20 years ago.

Really? This stuff makes me vomit! There AINT ONE owner out there who would deny a minority a HC job if he thought there was any chance of a SB. This garbage has to stop!

yeah, Flores' attorney would have been wise to say nothing. The Texans were in a bind there.

I cant believe this crap. Next all the white owners will have to show reparations to all the black people in the NFL, and in doing so becoming broke themselves. Would that make up for slavery a little bit? Or will hiring black people just because of the color of their skin relieve some of the pain of the fact that slavery existed for every race and class of people due to greed of a few, hundred years ago? I think some people just want the fact racism existed to always be talked about, and use the NFL to keep bringing this up. It wont change history, and it isnt a way to make sure racism will stop for all races. Charity will.
