I grew up watching wrestling, all of them... way back to the old WWWF, which then became WWF, then the WWE, but also loved the WCCW, WCW, NWA, AWA, and my Favorite ECW!!!
now the newer ones Impact, RoH, Global Force, New Japan and Lucha Underground.
I hate that Vince McMahon got greedy and bought ECW and WCW as wrestling was the best during that time in the 90s when WCW and WWE had the Monday Night Wars!! I loved when The Outsiders invaded WCW and took over and Hulk Hogan became a bad guy and started the nWo, quite possibly the greatest faction of all time!! DX is up there as well as The Four Horsemen! TNA had Aces and Eights which were pretty good too, New Japan and RoH had The Bullet Club.
My favorite Tag Teams over the years The British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation, Road Warriors, Demolition, Fabulous Freebirds, Midnight Express, Young Bucks, Blackjacks, Wild Samoans, Dudley Boys, The Outsiders, Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Steiner Brothers, and almost any team that Captain Lou Albano had
Way too many individuals to list but wrestling has been good to me, growing up near Boston, the WWF/WWE was at the old Boston Garden once a month with some great cards, before they got huge and now appear once a year...

Anyways, any other wrestling fans here? list your favorites, tell your favorite story, lets get this thread going strong!!!

I still watching wrestling. I was a big fan of the WWF/WWE in the 90s. I really got into it during what they call The Attitude Era, which was during the late 90s. My favorite wrestler of all time is the Undertaker. And I hate that it seems like he has wrestled his last match at this year's wrestlemania. I also enjoyed WCW, I loved the NWO, Sting, and Goldberg. And who could forget those Nitro Girls!!!

As for the indy scenes, I watch a little but not as much of WWE. But I am aware of shows like Lucha Underground, ROH, New Japan, Impact or Global Force.

I shared this recently in one of the threads, but yeah ... super diehard WCW fan in the mid to late 90s. Goldberg was my love. Seriously, the obsession I had with him is a little sick to think about at this point in my life. LOL. What a little weirdo! But I also loved Sting, DDP, Booker T, etc. Y'all liked the NWO? Eff those pricks. Wasn't it the Wolfpack that were the good guys? The Red NWO? Yeah, liked those guys. But anyway, WCW ended ... I cried ... moved on to my Vikings. Here I am. lol.

Favorite moment:

After all these years, still gives me chills. LOL. What a nerd. But yeah, it takes me back, that's for sure. I was one dedicated kid! Anyway, loved that man. What a sexy, sexy beast. And listen to that crowd. Are you kidding me?! It was unreal. I know it's all fake now (probably didn't know that then, lol) and whatever ... but let's be honest, no way the wrestling that is going on now compares to that late 90s goodness. Awesome, awesome stuff.

Yeah, I know. I know. I'm probably the coolest female ever. You don't gotta tell me. *loling*

I actually went to high school with the Sarge(way back when, I was a grade ahead of him). One of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Watched some until it became way to phony for me. Some of the older guys could really wrestle.

And in my defense, I stopped watching when I was like 11-12, so... yeah.

Not sure if it got a lot dumber/worse ... or if I just got smarter. lol. Probably both. But it's been all football all the time since.

It just got easier to read the fakeness of it. Most of the guys now did not learn how to wrestle well in high school and college. It's more about personality and acting ability. The older wrestlers could wrestle and make it look more real.

It's one of those things that you watched as a kid and have a hard time letting go. A lot like cartoons and The Three Stooges

I do watch it a lot less now for the above mentioned reasons. But I do check in every now and then to see who the champions are are stuff like that

Anyway, we had a satellite (back when satellite dishes were HUGE lol). Anyway, sometimes it would act up. For some reason, if you pushed on the box (or put a can of fruit or something to apply pressure) ... the picture would come in clearer. Who knows? I just remember standing up on a chair, pushing down on this cable/satellite box, and looking down at the TV. Was NOT missing Nitro, dang it! That was my jam!

What a little weirdo I was. *loling*

Too bad I'm JUST like that now, but with the Vikings. I've missed maybe a handful of games in the last decade or so. I need a very, VERY good reason to miss a game ... and I don't find many reasons good enough. lol. Most people just know Sundays are off limits. Don't even ask; I'm busy.

I still have my nWo shirt!! The only wrestling shirt I ever bought! A few years ago me and a bunch of buddies all started working out together and we were all wrestling fans and nWo fans so we would all wear the shirts at the gym working out and even called each other by nWo names. I was Steiner. Hahahaha. 4 LIFE! WOLFPAC.

As far as wrestling shirts, ha ... I had a handful. I think they were mostly Goldberg, but maybe Sting and DDP, as well? I had posters, tapes, magazines, video games, etc. I was all in. Maybe I don't notice them anymore because I'm not into it, but are there still sections in stores just for wrestling? I remember (mid to late 90s), there would be stores in the malls dedicated to wrestling goodness. Is it still that big? It doesn't seem like it, but I don't know because I probably just ignore it. Anyway, I'd be curious to compare the ratings in the late 90s and now. But yeah, when WCW ended ... my love for wrestling ended. Never liked the WWF/WWE and never will. The competition is what made all of it better. When that competition was over ... laaaaame.

However, once in a while, I will catch a clip on TV or a story online about an old goodie and get interested for a minute. For example: Goldberg coming back. Considering I was IN LOVE with that man, I at least had to read about his comeback. It's quite interesting. lol.
