Are you sure about that? Our defense didn't change much in 2018 and 2019 after the 13-3 run in 2017, so why did it get worse? Why hasn't Zimmer been able to coach anyone up? Should the CB whisperer have some of the worst CB's in the league year in and year out? Who has Zimmer coached up these past 4 years? With the reputation of Zimmer, we should never have the 29th ranked defense 2 years in a row, even with some of the worst players in the league. The guy is absolutely awful at managing a game and a clock, which is a liability when it comes to his make every game close philosophy. And then he wants nothing to do with the offense other than to mandate his establish the run philosophy. I do agree with everything you said about Spielman, but the entire Triangle of Mediocrity needs to go. None of it works.

Exactly lol! Man I've been saying that for a few years now. Stop trading back to collect garbage! Trade up and get some actual talent for once. Nah, lets keep doing the same thing every year and expect different results. We got a GM drafting all these project players, and a coaching staff that's incapable of coaching up those projects. Who is running this asylum?

You made some damn good points there with QB salaries, but who is this magical cheap QB that you think can win a Super Bowl? And don't you dare say Teddy.

We don't know how far they'll go this year, but their trophy case is just as empty as ours so far. Maybe they'll get Henry back at just the right time.

Let me help you with that if I haven't already. He's absolutely the wrong choice. Just look at our 5 playoff games under him so far. He blew 4th quarter double digit leads in 3 of them, and got blown out in the other 2. One of the most frustrating things about him is how he can't get this team to finish games. He has them roll over with big leads, and he's way too conservative in close games. Take that Lions game for example. A 14 play GW TD drive by Goff and Zimmer didn't pressure him once. Goff was 1/8 and got sacked 3 times on pressure throughout the game. That's just baffling. He's the defensive guru? And don't even get me started on that final play where nobody protected the goal line. Whatever magic he had in 2017, it's gone, talented players or not.

And then lost to Nick Foles 38-7 lol. After we needed a miracle to beat the Saints. Zimmer is like Cousins, he might wow you in the regular season against sub .500 teams, but he's never going to win 3-4 straight games in Jan/Feb.

I've never seen a guy fail upward as often as Spielman ... assuming they promote him again on Monday. He went from VP of whatever, to GM after a 3-13 season. After they hired him to begin with in a pinch because Fran Foley flaked out after a few months.

I'm kinda at that point too because it's sounding more and more like he's not going to be fired. Just get him out of there. Although I'm worried they're going to let him have input on the next GM. Why would he want to hire someone better than he's been? And how much input/influence will he have behind the scenes working with the new guy? Scary thoughts. But maybe promoting him to some token role is there way of "extending" him to get him out eventually. I believe he has 2 years left on his contract, so at least make him do something for 2 years xD. Empty trash bins or something. Just keep him away from the new GM. We need someone to go over this roster with a fine tooth comb, fresh eyes making evaluation about who to keep/cut, and we don't want Rick meddling in that process. He's going to want to keep "his guys".
