With training camp and preseason right around the corner, it's MoBo time. Here is a translated interview from this German sports site.

Ran: Following the Draft the media interest was huge. Did it lessen?
MoBo: Yes, it lessened for sure, which I like, to be honest. It gets quieter for me and I can fully concentrate on football.
Ran: How would you rate your chance for a roster spot today?
MoBo: It’s always hard to say that before training camp, until now everyone just practiced for themselves and learned the slightly adjusted playbook. That was easier for me this time. I believe in my chance.
Ran: What do you have that your rivals for the WR spots don’t have?
MoBo: Big, strong and fast. In addition to that I don’t have an injury record, that’s always good in the NFL. Also I still have a lot of potential since I haven’t played as long as the others have.
Ran: Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen or Laquon Treadwell seem to have their spots secured. Do you follow the happenings around Michael Floyd, seeing as he’s also a direct rival?
MoBo: That’s not a topic of interest for me, I don’t follow it.
Ran: Do you still see him as a spot rival? He could still be cut/fired because of the alcohol that was found in his body.
MoBo: As long as he’s here and not cut or fired, I count him as a rival, of course.
Ran: How much contact do you have with Adam Thielen? He demonstrated how you can make the roster coming from the Practice Squad.
MoBo: Since I returned from Germany I’ve been working out with him. He partially owns a gym where I always go. We talk regularly, I have the most contact with him out of all the people on the team.
Ran: Do the other players accept you as a full team member when you’re on the Practice Squad?
MoBo: During season you can feel the difference, since we’re not training with our normal offense, but instead replicate the opponent’s offense for our defense. But especially in training camp there’s no differentiating. There everyone fights for his spot.
Ran: Is it an “All or Nothing”-year for you?
MoBo: I don’t know. You can be in the Practice Squad for two years, but I definitely want to show more than last year.
Ran: How much time are you giving yourself?
MoBo: I don’t really bother with those kinds of thoughts. Neither with other teams or anything like that. I want to make it as a Viking.
Ran: Were there moments where you were really frustrated?
MoBo: Of course you sometimes have it during games. Everyone wants to play, that’s clear, but I always learned something and improved. You notice it yourself.
Ran: And the Preseason games are soon.
MoBo: Obviously I want to get as much playtime as possible. The way to the roster clearly leads through the Special Team. That’s where I want to recommend myself, that’s the goal. Maybe not as punt returner, but there are other positions as well.
