The Z-Fense

You sure about that?  Because I'm not.  Of the three QB's on our roster last year, my bet is the one that does the best this year is Bridgewater.  

Couple things. 1) everyone has sucked against Rodgers, but Zim less than most. Other than the 1 game where the defense went rogue on him in 2016, Rodgers hasn't had a statistically good game against Zim and has really only beaten him because we've had below avg QB's. 2) you're living in the past. I'm not saying Rodgers won't ever have a statistically great game against us again, but it's a lot less likely than when Frazier was here.

Ah, not even close.   Let's see. Bradford was 9-8 as a starter with the Vikes.  But yeah, he was head and shoulders above Bridgewater.

Well I was going to include playoff passing numbers, but Sam doesn't have any. Ever.   Bradford had a career year in 2016, just like Keenum did last year.  I doubt Bradford plays 4 games in AZ and Keenum more than 5 in Denver.  And if they are as good as you claim, they should both be playing all 16 this year. 

I'm talking about statistically. Just because the Packers win doesn't mean Rodgers had a good game. You like to use the Packers and Rodgers interchangeably to fit your argument but then yell at others when they do the same.


So when the secondary decides to not use the game plan that Zim drew up, how is that Zims fault? I'm not saying we would have won the game had they played the way Zim wanted, but it's by far the worst game Zim has had against Rodgers, so lets not kid ourselves into thinking it didn't have something to do with the results. That was Rhodes defense vs Rodgers, not Zims, and I think Rhodes learned his lesson. When he listens to Zim, he shuts everyone down.

Minus the rogue game, Rodgers has only gone over 220 yards once against Zim. 291, and that was the game we won the division in Lameblow. And he hasn't thrown 3 TD's against us since the Thursday night Ponder disaster in 2014.

And I guess winning a division in Rodgers' own backward with a QB who only threw for 99 yards doesn't count? Zims D held the best QB ever to 1 TD, the entire offense. When did Childress or Frazier ever do that? Childress nor Frazier have ever held him to below 23 points. Zim held him to 13 and 14 in consecutive games.

Again, you're living in the past. Going forward games against the Packers are going to be in the 20-24 point range, not 35+. And I don't expect our defense to give up too many 300+ yard 3+ TD game to him anymore unless we have a 2 score lead and Rodgers has to throw every down. Even then I like our chances because the D will get to pin it's years back and go after him.
