What's your take on Lloyd?
The only thing that gives me slight pause about Lloyd is his play (or lack thereof) in the Rose Bowl game vs Ohio St. The Buckeyes offense absolutely shredded the Utes defense with downfield passing and no one on the Utah defense did anything, even Lloyd. They did have secondary injuries and had a WR trying to play CB to cover one of the great Ohio St WR's and because Ohio St pushed the ball down the field to exploit mismatches there's probably not much Lloyd could have done, but still, you'd like to think a 1st Rd prospect like him should have made more of an impact. I compare his performance in that game to Hutchinson - Michigan was blown out by Georgia in the College Playoffs, but Hutchinson still made some plays in that game (batted a few balls, made a play on a bubble screen, did create pressure) while Lloyd didn't do anything.
Still though, Lloyd reminds me of one of those solid LB's that you see on the Steelers, Ravens or Bears and you end up asking yourself, "why can't the Vikings ever get a guy like that?" This could be the year to stop asking that question.
