Its not a moot point because I don't think there are many .500 qbs after 100 games who go on to win SBs. But I'll bet there is one, maybe even two. If so they are called exceptions. After 100 games you pretty much know who a qb is. But certainly worse qbs than Kirk has won a SB, so you can't rule it out.

Wow, you're surprisingly pissed about irrelevant stats as a backup QB for a bad Washington team.

Cousins career
3 years as backup / injury fill in: 2-7 (.222 win %)
3 years as Washington starter: 24-23-1 (.510 win %)
3+ years as a Viking: 30-24-1 (.535 win %)

Looking back at key plays on each of the 49er scoring drives:
TD Drive 1 - 3rd & 13: 37 yard completion to Aiyuk
TD Drive 1 - 20 yard TD run By Deebo Samuel
TD Drive 2 - 3rd & 8: incomplete pass, holding on Patrick Peterson (where I thought Kittle ran over P2)
TD Drive 2 - 3 & 11: 24 yard pass to Aiyuk
TD Drive 3 - 49 yard run by Deebo Samuel
TD Drive 4 - 1 play, 2 yards post INT

1/3 of all the 49ers rush yards came on 2 runs by Deebo Samuel; 27 carries for 133 by Mitchell doesn't win them the game. Cousins technically had a higher passer rating (92.9 vs 90.2) but his interception was far worse and Garoppolo was 16/22 the rest of the game after his 1/4 with an interception on his 1st drive, so I'd say Garoppolo won the QB duel.

The most frustrating part of the game was this seemed so obvious and something the Vikings should be able to stop. Their secondary, specifically safeties are supposed to be savvy vets. The Vikings D Line did what they had to do, got the 49ers into 3rd and longs and the secondary couldn't hold up.

Love the fleaflicker, big gains and scoring drives but overall it wasn't enough. The Bosa sack put us behind the sticks and we never recovered after that. The 49er's 18 play drive to tie it hurt. Kirk's INT was all about poor execution.
