Let's put some context around this missed tackle thing regarding Eric Kendricks.
According to the official stats, he has missed 6 tackles and has made 47 combined tackles. that's good for a missed tackle percentage of 11.3% which is good for 144th worst in the league.
The table below shows the Vikings defenders who have the highest missed tackle %
So we have 3 players in the top 20; 4 in the top 50; 5 in the top 100, and none of them are Eric Kendricks. The biggest problem here are the third and fifth names on that table, the 2 guys who in Andre Pattersons' own words "Their main job is to stop the run and keep the backers clean"
So if the 2 starting DTs aren't doing their jobs, what hope do the LBs have?
And another little stat nugget I picked up, Eric Kendricks normally averages 7.3 tackles per game since his rookie year. He is currently on pace to average 11.75 tackles per game this season, which would put him at 200 combined tackles for the season. That work rate is simply unsustainable.
While Kendricks may be missing tackles at a higher rate than normal, the real problem here is that the LBs are being asked to do too much because the DL is failing.
