But trading up multiple first rounders and future picks to draft a quarterback that don't pan out will destroy your franchise.
Or you will get Daniel Jones who's not a total bust but just good enough to keep you hoping and keep him around for 3 to 5 years and you'll win nothing and be back in square one half a decade away. Or worse yet both those things happen in series and there's a decade....
If you have nothing to lose. A roster completely void of talent. Your team's just been a three win team for years. You're the jaguars essentially or the Jets then you've take a chance on a quarterback.

What bothers me most about that is if we lost that meaningless game, we'd have been on the receiving end for that haul.
