Talking Points
This was a horrible overall first game performance that didn't look like the team was prepared to play.
Things I learned today, it looks like the Zman ate to many hamburgers over the past year. All kidding a side I will continue with the real football analysis.
Underperformers today
OC/Offensive play calling the whole game was bad, the last overtime drives they kept running it on first down for no gain and blowing a down, putting them in 2nd and long in difficult situations.
HC did not have the team ready to play today from the start.
Offense
Offensive line as a group was not good
Bradburry still getting pushed back into QB
Ezra getting beat for sacks or pressures and holding penalties
O'Neil holding penalty false starts etc
Uldi underperformed expectations today
Hill getting beat holding penalties, etc
False start illegal procedure penalties 6 or 7, it's ridiculous. poor coaching, poor O- line mental play
Defense
Tomilson underperformed expectations, allowing a 4th 1 QB sneak to gain yardage at a critical time.
Wonum silent most of the day
Hunter until the one play in the last quarter, he underperformed most of the day
Breeland hot and cold, more cold than hot
Kendericks underperformed most of the day, out of position to many times
Overperformers
Cousins, his numbers suggest that and with the poor O-line play that gave him very little help and was actually a negative for him I gave him the nod.
Cook minus the bogus fumble. But he should not even be in that type of situation where it is close call on a fumble when holding on to the ball with two hands takes priority over attempting extra yards. He mad the most behind a bad line today giving him little help.
Theilin he was a baller
Jefferson that was a clear TD, not sure what was said on the review
Osborn did very productive 3rd WR
Pierce he is the real deal
Vigil had a real nice game. He was all over the place
Berry Punter far exceeding expectations. He did a great job today
Joseph FG, came through with a long clutch field goal. Can't ask for any more than that
