I already have a problem with this team and yes it is a carry over from the preseason. Where lack of depth was obvious. Seems to me with the Zim comments is a built in excuse is already being formed when things go sour. He already showing me lack of confidence when I read between the lines of those comments.
To think we not going to have many injuries is just not our luck or a reality. We already dealing with injuries from losing Irv, Barr being banged up and likely missing Sunday, and Darrisaw still on the mend. It's already started and to think we won't have several more injuries is not realistic. Guys are going to miss games no matter what and one missed game from the wrong guy will cost you a game. In this league one game can be the difference.
It becomes real worrisome when it is not just a guy or two. Like a great team lose Mahomes, Brady, or Rodgers of course it will derail them completely. But when you have like 10 guys miss time it derails you that is worrisome. So instead of looking for ways to save some money and improve depth we steady paying guys more than they are worth.
We have a thread saying why does everyone want play for us. It not nothing special in some cases, yes a few see the grass is not greener on the other side. But many staying because of "money". We paying whatever they want and not drawing a line in the sand when they ask for too much.
Anyways it's a long season and guys will miss games and even the HC admits outside the top half we suck not a huge confidence booster.. 8-9 or 9-8 here we come likely. I hope it's more I doubt it.
