In 2020 the Wilfs gave Zimmer and Ricky a second bite of the cherry. Win/loss record at the time they signed their extensions was 59-41, and if I'm not mistaken only 2 playoff wins and 0 Super Bowl wins. Last season we failed to make the playoffs. There are many fans that are sick and tired of these 2 guys. That must suck.
1. Will a poor 2021 season be enough for the Wilfs to fire them?
2. Did Zimmer and Ricky do enough these past 2 off-seasons to right the ship?
3. Is there anyone amongst us that think we can win a Super Bowl in 2021 or 2022? Spence?
I know that I'm seen as overly optimistic on the Vikings and I know that it is definitely a fair point, but I do think a Super Bowl this year is legitimately possible. Are we the favorites? Of course not. Possible? Has to be.
1. Added elite CB talent in Patrick Peterson
2. Got Pierce back on the line; added tomlinson. These are bigtime moves that kinda went underappreciated so far. Our rush defense was terrible last year, it might be top 5 this year.
3. Undeniable improvements to the Oline.
So this gives us a serviceable Oline for our offensive weapons Cousins/Cook/Thielen/Jefferson and an elite defense. I like our chances.
