Here is the most recent mock I did without any trades.
Rick Spielman had a press conference Tuesday, April 27th and there were some interesting quotes that we can dismiss or take seriously. I think he was serious about some points he made. Here are some of his quotes ...
“I will just say this, that there’s no position that is off-limits going into this draft,” he said. “I’ll just leave it at that.”.
“Right now we have four fourth-round picks, which does give you the ability to move back into the second round,” Spielman said. “To have the draft capital that we have, it gives us a lot of flexibility, hopefully, to be able to move up in the draft if we want to go do that.”
“We think it’s a pretty deep draft class [in terms of offensive linemen]. Just like every position, I think there’s quality throughout this draft. Through the first three rounds and maybe into the fourth round on getting some potential starters for us up front — or at least creating competition. We spent a lot of time and listened to the coaches on scheme fit.”
1.14 MICAH PARSONS LB PENN STATE 6’3.1” 246
Anthony Barr, who turns 29 in March, agreed to restructure his contract which eliminated the remaining years making him a free agent in 2022. Eric Kendricks turns 30 next February and has cap hits of 13.53M in 2022 and 11.43M in 2023. The Vikings could be very thin at LB next year. This would set them up for at least another couple of years after this season at the linebacker position.
Parsons ran a 4.36 forty, broad jumped 10’6”, vertical jumped 34”, and had an elite 3-cone at 6.96. He is an excellent blitzer which plays right into what Zimmer wants at times. He is too talented to pass.
3.78 WALKER LITTLE OT STANFORD 6’7.3” 313
3.90 MILTON WILLIAMS DT LOUISIANA TECH 6’3” 284
4.119 AARON BANKS OG NOTRE DAME 6’5.3” 325
4.125 CAMERON SAMPLE DE TULANE 6’2.6” 267
4.134 JAELON DARDEN WR NORTH TEXAS 5’7.5” 174
5.143 BENJAMIN ST-JUSTE CB MINNESOTA 6’3.2” 202
5.157 DAVIS MILLS QB STANFORD 6’3.6” 217
5.168 JAMAR JOHNSON S INDIANA 6’2.2” 205
6.199 JACOB HARRIS WR CENTRAL FLORIDA 6’5” 219
