Weird that we don't have a Wild topic going. Not that I follow hockey or care about the Wild, I just noticed they were eliminated already lol. 1 and done. Now why does that sound familiar? Minnesota teams seem to excel at 1 and done. I found this prophetic article from last September regarding the new coach.

That guy pretty much nailed it lol. Wowzers. Eliminated by Mike Meow of all people too. That's gotta sting a little. Hey who knew that the best way to get Yeo a playoff series win was to have him go up against the Wild haha. Or at least not play Chicago.
I never followed the North Stars either, but which hockey franchise would you guys say sucked the most? Or chokes the most? I just remember the Stars always being a letdown too (until they went to Dallas). Tough to call yourself the state of hockey when you constantly fail at the highest level. At least neither are worse than the L-Wolves though. That franchise has redefined futility.
But yeah, I just can't get into hockey. It's like soccer on ice. I hate soccer. Plus the NHL has that gawd awful shootout system. Probably the single dumbest thing in all of sports. Too annoying. Worse than when they only had 5 min OT's and teams were tying 20 times a season. I think they over corrected. And the standings with an OT losses category? Just awful. Every team looks like it has a decent record when you move half the losses to a different category lol.
The Wild are pretty uninspiring as well. And I don't mean the fact that they're just another disappointing Minnesota franchise, I mean the name, and the colors too. Just blah. Wild, more like Mild. It's like the Miami Heat, except worse because at least that's a thing. It's like they said, hey how can we make sure this Reignman fella never becomes a fan of our team/sport? But hey, could be worse. The L-Wolves are lucky if they get to 20 wins. And at least we got the Twins to look forward too ... said nobody in a long time xD. One thing I know for sure is, I finally know none of these teams are cursed because of me because I stopped being a fan of them long ago and nothing has changed. Well other than all the misery I've saved haha.

You know what you're getting with Boudreau; it's pretty clockwork. You'll look dominant all season long, only to fold like a lawn chair once the calendar turns to May. This is the guy that coached a 121-point Capitals team that scored roughly 284796395 goals to a first round exit. He won four division titles in Anaheim, but only three playoff series (two of which were against laughably bad teams). That's about the best case scenario for your future.
