Let's check out my rankings for the defensive line. First, the edge rushers, which include 4-3 DEs and 3-4 OLBs.
And now the DTs:
Key:
#: Player's ranking on my draft board
CC's gr = Charlie Campbell's grade
CBS gr = CBS Sports' grade
Brugler = Dane Brugler's grade
PFF Grade = The player's PFF grade in 2020, or in 2019 if they didn't play enough snaps in 2020
RAS = Relative Athletic Score. Grades 0 to 10 based on percentile on the player's measurables (size and speed) (Ratings in Bold and Italics are estimates based on Brugler's estimates)
Total = An arbitrary number generated by the previous columns
Scheme Key:
Scheme is blank = Can play in 3-4 or 4-3
3T? = could bulk up to play 3 tech
"more 3-4/4-3" = is more fit to play in one scheme over the other, but could fit the other
"4-3 or 3-4" = suited to play just this scheme
"/ 3-4 DE" = Not suited to play 3-4 OLB, but could play DE instead
Balanced = Could play 3T or NT
-- Notes --
The top end of this DL class is very weak, and I can't remember the last time it was this barren. Not a single edge rusher in the top 12 or a DT in the top 25. There is plenty of depth, however, and I'm sure there will be many gems found in this class. Here is who I'd have the Vikings target by round:
Round 1
ED: Paye, Phillips, Oweh
DT: Barmore
Round 2
ED: Rousseau, Basham
DT: Onwuzurike, Nixon
Round 3
ED: Weaver, Perkins , Jones
DT: Williams, Tufele, Togiai
Round 4
ED: Turner, J. Smith, Sample, Odeyingbo
DT: Tuipulotu, Odigihizuwa, Wilson
Round 5
ED: Golston, E. Smith
DT: Brown III, Twyman
Any thoughts?
