Fantastic research and really quantifies how good the drafting has been (or not).
Re a couple statements which are similar:
I don't even buy that we have obtained "depth" in the late rounds (4-7). Tell me, who has come out of there? Stefon Diggs, that's it. He had 37 day 3 picks from 2015-19, and I am pretty sure that is the most in the NFL. (I added it up for 2011-19 last year and he was well ahead, have not checked the 5 year period.) Sure, some of those late picks got to play, but are guys like TJ Clemmings, Ben Gedeon, Armon Watts, and Bisi Johnson actually quality depth that any team would want? No, they have served as depth on a thin roster, but as 2020 showed, when we had to roll with Shamar Stephen, Jaleel Johnson, and Jalyn Holmes, they suck.
And it's not just the lamented OL. Have we hit on a single DB in the late rounds, despite having allegedly awesome coaches there? How about a LB or DT? Even at DE, we seem to collect prospects who have enticing potential - Weatherly, Odenigbo, Aruna, Holmes - and they turn into little more than part-time players. Weatherly got fans excited in 2018 with a handful of sacks but couldn't win a starting job in 2019 and we let him walk. Almost the same story with Odenigbo...and those two are probably the absolute best from Spielman's mad obsession with day 3 draft picks. I think he drafts alright, but he assumes he has a coaching staff that's able to polish rough prospects into quality NFL players. Hey, Rick: your coaching staff is full of guys who peaked long before they came to Minnesota.
1 success (Diggs) out of 37 picks is just a blind squirrel finding a nut accidentally.
Short answer: too little too late.
Longer answer: yes someone whacked him over the head in early 2018 and he has picked some linemen, but unfortunately I think OL is an area with a "long tail" - the results, both good and bad, take time to bear fruit. Yay, Spielman has used 1 high pick each of the last 3 years, but he used ZERO from 2013-17. So there's an area that is vital to the rest of the team and has 5 every-down starting spots, and it gets no significant talent influx for half a decade?? Well, it's going to take more than 1 pick a year to make up for that. Instead of Mike Hughes, he should have picked Will Hernandez or Braden Smith (plus still O'Neill in the 2nd).
It's really apparent that Spielman was trying to setup this roster to be peaking around 2016-18. Why didn't he start working on the OL, which takes longer to develop, much sooner?

Spielman's tendencies to acquire Day 3 picks have added nothing more than depth
Does Spielman hit a lot in the late Rounds? Yes. Because he gets by far the most cracks at it.

I hate the narrative that Spielman neglects the OL. He's been taking shots in free agency and the draft for several years now.
