I'm with you on overlooking non-ZBS OL prospects, but I believe the current regime is too far down the rabbit hole to turn back now. Cook is a perfect ZBS RB...we've invested in athletic OL early in the last 3 drafts (2018-O'Neill in 2nd, 2019-Bradbury in 1st, 2020-Ezra in 2nd) and we've traded for another athletic OL player in Mason Cole this offseason which leads us to believe they are still going to run with it in 2021 going forward....
- Zimmer giving up defensive play-calling duties and becoming a more complete HC on Game Day
- Vikings making the playoffs 2 years in a row under the current regime
- Spielman not trading away late Day 2 / early Day 3 picks for late Day 3 picks
- Vikings having just a league avg OL in the current regime
- Vikings "consistently" winning primetime games vs "consistently" losing them
Basically you can add the "Orlando Brown Jr to the Vikings" trade talk to the above list of "I'll believe it when I see it"....
- Mike Zimmer
