If you are going to downgrade from a borderline top-10 QB to an almost certain bottom-5 QB, you might as well blow it all up, not sign a bunch of FAs.

I'd say Mahomes proved enough at a division 1 school. That being said, Mahomes, if anything, showed his weakness' in the SB and this year overall. In last years SB, Mahomes showed exactly what he was made of.

Lance hasn't played at the level in college, man amongst boys. I look at him much like I do Wentz, perhaps a one or two year wonder, but that will be as good as it gets.

Mac Jones dominated the SEC and the only blemish is against a team that went on to win the national championship in LSU. You cannot compare him to Tua, who I believe is overrated as well as Hurts, who I think is very overrated. The college game plays well to dual threat QB's, but the NFL is not as forgiving.

Josh Allen is an anomaly, but he's a true pocket passer with the skill set to be great. He will continue to grow.

I will say this though... I keep hearing people say that they're a "product of their environment ", he was successful because of xyz, they had all the talent around them..... what is it you expect from a QB? In college or the NFL? Great QB's make those around them a lot better, as we've just witnessed in this last SB, they are rare indeed.

So what if Alabama was loaded on offense? The same could have been said about Tua or Hurts. But can you honestly tell me that these has ever been a prolific of an offense ever played in college than what Alabama did this year behind the play of their QB? Mac Jones balled out and I'd take him over fields and lance any given day if the week. Hell, I might take him over the golden boy from Clemson, because I think that kid is going to get hammered in J-Ville.

I hear the same thing about pro QB's, well, they're loaded and that is why they are so successful.. stupid.

Exactly I agree with you Rap. Most these heisman winners don't do nothing in the league. It is not a direct science at QB. That position is very tough. Look how many top picks getting traded and moving on quickly. Goff, Wentz, Winston, Mariota, Tribisky on and on. QB position is tricky for sure. Mac may turn out never know, but far more talented players have failed for sure.

I love you Nordic but disagree. First Josh Allen far more then a pocket passer big boy can run. He like a better Cam Newton to me. He not limited to the pocket. It's easy to say now but Mahomes didn't do nothing notable in college. Actually people had him a 2nd rounder. Chiefs just went of their board not Mel and Todd hype board. People thought they were crazy taking Mahomes so early and definitely before Watson.

LOL! I do agree with you on that. Those  organizations would ruin anybody. They are so clueless, and where you go does matter, I definitely agree with that. Maybe not Jacksonville though Brunell was good. We will see what Urban can do in the league. The other 2 especially the Jets I would refuse to play for them to be honest.

Beating Sisters of the Mercy sarcasm 77-0 lol! Stacking stats on a team with 15 1st rounders .And one of the best college coaches ever. This generation Bear Bryant. We have seen time and time again that college pedigree doesn't always translate to the league. He may turn out but he not blowing me away on film. But how they did in college holds little water based on history. You must grade the individual and how he stacks up by himself.
