I am pretty confident the teams above stick with what they currently have.

The interesting team is the Pats. Bill has nothing at QB, no weapons to put around a QB even if he had one, but has a crap ton of cap space and is picking higher in the draft than he ever has since taking over the Patriots I believe. Jimmy G would be an obvious option for the Patriots if the 9ers somehow managed to land Cousins or Watson, but since that is unlikely I could see him making a trade for a guy like Minshew and then spending big on a FA WR like JuJu, Godwin or Robinson.

I agree with all those except for the 49ers, I think they're done with Garoppolo and they can easily get out from under his contract.

Dont forget like 10 guys opted out due to covid this past year. I fully expect the Patriots to be a top 4 AFC team again in 2021

The Athletic’s NFL staff checked in with sources all over the league to get updates on the quarterback carousel. Here are a few key takeaways from that reporting:

Teams that have called Houston about Deshaun Watson are still being told the Texans aren’t ready to talk trade yet. If the Texans relent, they’re expected to ask for three first-round picks or a package that includes some combination of two firsts, a couple of other high-round picks and two young-ish starters, preferably on defense.

The Colts do not have a Carson Wentz-or-bust mentality, and if the price for the Eagles quarterback is two first-round picks, don’t expect GM Chris Ballard to bite.

A second- or third-round pick is believed to be a reasonable asking price for Sam Darnold, whom the Jets could look to move after the Eagles trade Wentz.

That would be like giving the Eagles a 1st for Sam Bradford after they spent a fortune to draft Wentz...

Rosen was signed to the 49ers active roster last December and was resigned last week. He will continue to get chances because of his upside. You can't say he had good teams around him when he was on the field in Miami and Arizona.

I highly doubt anybody saw Goff being traded just a few weeks ago yet he was moved.

Watson is almost a guaranteed mover as he hold all the cards in Houston. If they wait and see if he shows for any offseason stuff they would be seriously screwed. They need to get their multiple 1st round picks for him and start moving on a plan forward w/o Watson. If they wait till after the draft they have no chance at getting a QB to rebuild around.

I find it very interesting that perennial playoff teams like the Steelers, 9ers, Saints, and Pats are all in need of a QB plan going forward.

One can dream! But Wilson isn't going anywhere ... at least not this offseason. Maybe in a couple years if the Seahawks don't figure it out. These rumors aren't a good look. The cat is out of the bag, so...

He certainly couldn't win one with a starting QB with worse career statistics than Hill and the Eagles did use the draft capital and cap space to beat us in the NFCCG and win the Super Bowl in 2017.

As for who we would have drafted with that 1st round pick assuming we were in the same spot with Hill as our QB (which means that Bradford trade added 0 wins and makes the trade even worse), we could have easily moved up 4 spots to draft Mahomes, since KC was able to move up 17 spots to get him. Again, if your argument is that Rick would never have made a trade to move and get Mahomes than that is another indictment on Rick.

Pretty weak defense of a trade that cost the Vikings so much, and gained us absolutely nothing.

So Rosen finally made an active roster in December after the 9ers lost how many QBs to injury? Seems like a pretty strong case for him not making a roster at the start of this year either. You might as well put Kyle Sloter on that list is all I am saying.

I'm not arguing about it. I'm just making fun of the fact you brought up Ricky using a 1st and change for Sam Bradford 5 years ago after the fact. The lengths that you and others go through to rip Ricky is priceless. Actually it's quite funny and it keeps us talking about this franchise and all the characters involved.

Philadelphia will get something for Wentz and move on, much like they did in 2016 with Bradford (Shaq Barrett, Josh Sweat). The good thing for them is they have a young up and coming guy in Hurts to fall back on.

I was actually surprised to read that article, says he wants to be involved in personnel decisions moving forward.

Big name starters won't be going anywhere IMO, especially Big Ben (Who will adjust his salary) and if I'm Houston, I'm not trading Watson either, unless its with Dallas, straight up for Dak. If he wants to sit, bring in Fitz and let him sit.

I could possibly see Carr in NE, but I could also see the doing another year with Newton and Drafting Jones. They had some opt outs and will be competitive next year. IMO, Mariotta will never be a starter again unless someone gets injured, and neither should Teddy B.
