I posted about the Senior Bowl in the Vikings Talk board, forgetting there was a separate board for Draft Talk.
With no Combine and no East/West Shrine Bowl this draft season, the Senior Bowl takes on a bit more importance as far as measuring up prospects on a neutral field. TheDraftNetwork put out 2 articles today - one on the 5 prospects w/ the most to gain (link) and another for the 5 prospects they look forward to watching (link). It's worth checking out if you're a draft-nut who likes to absorb a bunch of material over the course of the pre-Draft season...like me.
And in case you don't want to click on the articles but want to find out who the players are, well, here they are:
5 Prospects with Most to Gain:
- WR D'Wayne Eskridge, Western Michigan (actually sorry to see this as I was hoping he'd fly under the radar until Round 5)
- RB Kylin Hill, Miss St
- QB Jamie Newman, Wake Forest/Georgia (he needs a big week since he opted out of 2020)
- DE Patrick Jones II, Pitt (poster HarryHits22 mentioned him on previous page)
- CB Ambry Thomas, Michigan
5 Prospect They Look Forward to Watching ("they" meaning TheDraftNetwork personnel):
- QB Kellen Mond, Texas A&M (me, too...I haven't been able to get behind any Day 2/Day 3 QB prospects but maybe Mond separates himself here)
- OT James Hudson III, Cincinnati (after he went down in Peach Bowl vs Georgia, Azeez Ojulari went-off on his backup...why didn't Ojulari go-off before then?)
- WR Frank Darby, Arizona St
- LB Charles Snowden, Virginia (there are a bunch of these types of lengthy SS/LB hybrids on Day 2/early Day 3...if Harrison Smith is a cap casualty, I could see us being interested in prospects like Snowden)
- DE Daelin Hayes, Notre Dame
