Time to honestly break down Mike, Rick, Cousins pros and cons from my view!
Zimmer pros- I like his defensive knowledge, the way he tells it like it is approach .His reputation with most players. His way of never making the team bottom out at like 2-14. Third best coach we ever had behind Bud and Denny.
Zimmer cons- If a good team is getting us early never adjusts stay's stubborn.. To conservative with the offense and running way to much. Dalvin likely to have a drop off year next year way to many carries. He limits the offense taking away a coordinators way of maximizing talent. I truly believe he is holding back the offense. His way or the highway instead of whatever it takes to win. His prevent Defense in the past when we were winning big letting the foot off the gas.
Rick pros- Getting lot's of draft picks every year. Finding big time talent like AP, Harry, Dalvin, Jefferson and many more. Letting the coaches coach and trying to give them the guys they ask for. Finding late and even better undrafted talent..
Rick cons- Neglecting the OL and not drafting a good young QB. Does okay then a injury occurs and he makes a panic fatal mistake see Bradford and Yannick trades.. Not learning from past and repeating mistakes..
Kirk pros- Third best QB in my opinion of a 3 year span we ever had behind Tarkanton and Culpepper.. Durable better arm then people think. Tough takes hits and doesn't cry like Rodgers and get's back up and keeps playing. Doesn't throw teammates under bus even keel nice guy type. Can get hot as lava for stretches..Not a terrible QB.
Kirk cons- Paid like he is the Messiah.. Gets hot but too streaky also can get ice cold..Does not make the ones around him better like the money indicates actually needs a perfect team around him.. Has not proven to be clutch when it matter's most.
Overall it will be interesting to see what we end up doing this off-season no matter what I support whatever decision we end up making.. I hope the Wilfs really look at everything and makes the right decision keep or fire that will give us a chance.. I don't think we that far off the question is have these 3 taking us as far as they can or is more there? On one hand it has been long enough, on the other they flipped the roster pretty quickly and we have some young talent.. I am weird but I think we have some good young pieces future could be bright even as soon as next year. The million dollar question is will they hold us back from reaching our full potential?
