Maybe it's more of a question. Why be a fan of a team you want to lose. You are correct, everyone should have the freedom to choose how they cheer for a team, but investing time into an entertainment in hopes of said entertainment is a failure is beyond me.

I guess I could go to a play on Broadway and hope the lead falls flat on his/her face. And if that happened I would consider it a success.

Why be a fan thats fine with failures like you? You don't care if they fall flat on their face as long as you see a underwhelming product for 16 weeks all is good. Who wants to invest in that year after year?

People that want to end that trend are the ones that want change. None want continued failure and that's what you're OK with. The "lead" has been falling on his/her face for 20 years more or less. Time for change and the final curtian calls are long overdue. By the way not all people view it as strictly entertainment. I mean who want's to watch the lead fall on their faces.

I priced 1 game for two seats at Us Bank 2800.00 for lower level not the most expensive not even close 800 for nose bleeds. PSLs are outrageous for sth.

Losing to me is worse when you have top notch facilities and have an inferior team in it. More expectations should be there for fans in results for prices paid.
