Do you want the Vikings in the playoffs this year?

There are just too many of us old farts who've been waiting 50 years for a title and we feel like sh*t, if they don't get moving in some way we'll be dead before it ever happens! 

I wouldn't cry if they kept Ricky and fired Zim, Rick has done some decent deals and I could think of several worse g.m.'s.... and knowing what a political animal Rick is I'm pretty sure he'll maneuver things to stick around and ditch Zimmer if push comes to shove from above.  But as much as he has some good qualities I still don't think he's the guy to build a champion any more than Zim is the guy to take such a squad to the finish line. 

But more than anything I'm just sick of Zim and his brand of 1970's football and tired of watching the same thing for what appears to be an upcoming 8th year.  That is a long, LONG time in NFL years.   I get that some teams turn things over too often and flail around but there is the opposite of that issue--the issue of hanging on to failure too long because you've kidded yourself into thinking it somehow is really success if only this, that or the other thing were different, so maybe next week/month/year it will be.   But it never is because you've tied yourself to the wrong management team, Zygmunt Wilf.

Anyhow, regardless of who I disagree with or what it's about I try not to make it personal because it's just a stupid message board about a stupid football team that's been goring my personal ox since 19 frickin 70, lol.   So have a merry Xmas all and I'm sure we'll keep up the fun as the new year arrives.
