as Aikman and Buck repeated ad naseum, Bailey was one of the most accurate kickers on Earth before becoming a Viking. Vikings drafted a kicker who was crap, then went to another team and has been awesome. and of course there's Blair Walsh who was awesome until he wasn't.
There is only one common denominator between all of our kickers' performance being in the crapper. Mike Zimmer. he is literally the only thing in common with this team since 2014 when he took over, and our kicking has been absolute garbage ever since. And no matter how many kickers are brought in they just get worse and worse, and today was yet another important game lost because of the kicker.
The question is what the HELL is Zimmer doing? He's clearly intimidating our kickers in some form of fashion, i don't know if he yells at them, sends them threatening emails, gives them swirlies in the locker room or what. But there is a problem with the Zimmer era kickers that only seem to be happening when they are coached BY mike zimmer. And if that means a restraining order be placed on Zimmer to stay away from the kickers, then let's do that. But clearly something must change here, and i think if you hopped in your DeLorean and brought back Adam Vinateiri from 2003 and put him in purple, he's going to miss at least half his kicks and a few extra points on top of that.
