What They're Saying...
Cousins played the entire game last week without throwing a ball deeper than 10yds. None. Didn’t even attempt one. That’s the 5th time hes done that in minny…5-0. The key is to make him be the one to beat you. We aren’t good enough to shut down cook so we need to hope we have early down moments here and there where we stop him. Then we need to get after cousins and make him make mistakes. If cook runs like last week we won’t stay within 17. If cousins throws more than 26x we will win. He’s won 88% of his games when less than 26 attempts. The more he throws the worse his record is.
Well good thing we are rock solid on covering the shallow crossers …
If and when we are in man coverage Patricia needs to abandon the 2 Deep look. It has to be single high . Let the corners work on islands and for f*cks sake let them press .
I can’t stand forcing 3rd and long and watch the 2 Safeties drop to only have a shallow crosser kill us . While the outside corners bail and give a cushion and not be in a position to help and prevent the first down .

We need…
Stafford
Good stafford, not last weeks
Make them punt early in game AND capitalize on it

Sounds like Stafford will likely play.
He’s in quarantine and him and his entire family have tested negative fore the virus. So as long as nothing changes he should be good to go on Sunday.

Vikings are like the Lions. They play well on the road and they play like poop at home in an empty stadium. I don’t get it, but it is what it is.
The wife is a Vikings fan and she thought it was going to be an easy win for the Lions before they beat the Packers last week. Now she is fully overconfident of a Vikings win.
Keys to the game…stop Dalvin Cook and pressure Cousins. If Stafford looks bad, he will not recover. He is basically a turtle, once he gets turned over, he doesn’t get back up.

well hey we only play 15 yards off the guy were covering and can’t get defend against a girl scout troop, and our roster sucks shrug…be like Patricia and company to lose this game.
Stop Dalvin Cook. Do that and we can win. I doubt we do that though. He’s an awesome player.
Vikings cant stop the pass & Cook just scored 4 TDs.
I'm gonna predict a 24-20 Lions win.
3 passing TDs for Stafford, 0 TDs for Cook.

Lions lose. Ugly, badly, and pathetically. Corky Cousins looks like an all pro.
I want Griffen to get a sack in this game.
Whatever else happens is fine.

Cook 5 TD's in the first quarters. Breaks rushing record in one half
I had to delete the most negative post I've ever had lol, too negative even for me, and my negativity standards are pretty low (or high? not sure how negativity standards work on the high/low scale)
Go Lions
Go Lions
No Golladay, Agnew, Walker, and maybe no Stafford tomorrow either. So, you know, those injury excuses are still lingering out there as potential defense as well as Covid.
So the vikes, in a bad weather game the ground game was the focus. This should be a cake walk stack the line and make that int machine throw. All we need is some decent music to get MS pumped and able to not lose the game.
consider that....
all we ask is for him to not lose, and for MP to stack the line and stop the run.
Again as always the unknown is points off turnovers we suck at getting points off turnovers and we suck at stopping other teams from creating points off our turnovers.
We don't give the ball away, we should walk away with a win. Minny is bad like jax bad right now these are the games that we have to circle as must wins.

Vikings have beat GB and the Texans and lost to the Titans and Seattle by 1. They are a much better team than the Lions. They have a better coaching staff, better GM, better offense, and a better defense. They will beat the Lions on Sunday. Our punting will be pretty though.
Quick who leads the nfl in giving the ball a way?
They are a dumpster fire if not for cook, heck they are selling off parts of their team. I know how you feel the way you do but look they are a bad bad team and we should be all over them.

You are putting everyone on the line to stop Cook, right? Who is going to cover Jefferson, the 2nd ranked WR in the league according to PFF? Got him accounted for? Then how about 5th ranked Thielen who always has great games against us? Okudah? And if you think you are good there How about Rudolph? You think Walker can cover him? Collins? Wait he'll be trying to stop Cook. I've seen this nightmare before.
Vikings have been good for several years. They had to drop some people because of the cap but the core is still there and the new people are getting better. There is no reason to believe that they suddenly drove off a cliff. They're still a good team coming off an impressive win.

good teams are not at 2-5 They got one of "those" games like beating a brady led pat in novemember it didn't happen often but it did happen even by bad teams.
this is not a good team. they may not be jax bad but nearly they beat the texans a 1-6 team I might remind you. They don't trade away good players in mid season if they are a "good" team you just don't do that if you think are any good at all instead you hold on trying to find a way into the post season.
Look we lost last week I know the hangover effect can happen. Consider this then: on 10/18 the supposed "good" team lost to a hapless ATL on 10/25 (yep just 7 days later) the supposed "bad" team beat a hapless ATL team. you can't get any closer to apples to apples than that.

A loss to the vikes would be bad very bad this 4 game stretch is our key to the season we really have to find a way to win these games 3-1 would be bad but not a killer, 2-2 and the writing is on the wall, 1-3 time to start talking draft, 0-4 would be the fat lady signing time to broom the house immediatly letting everyone know there is new opportunities in Allen Park
Some games, due to spot & circumstances, carry built-in advantages for one team over the other. Detroit over Jville was one. Indy over Detroit was another. As was Minnesota over Green Bay last week. This week's game carries no such advantage (not to my eye, anyway). This will be a good game to judge the team on. (assuming we're able to field a starting team).
I am not sure I can agree. If we win we just beat a bad sorry team. if we lose then we can judge them. So half and half.
Not sure I agree with you.
If the Lions manage a road win, in my eyes this will be the lions 2nd best win of the season. The Vikings have owned us for some time, and Dalvin has been feasting on our (previous-to-the-bye-week) sorry-a$$ed run defense since his arrival to the NFL.
Without our best WR, DE, and potentially starting QB, a victory this weekend would be significant.

When we play the Vikings the guy who consistently moves the chains is Kyle Rudoph... and worse, underneath. Idoubtit has his finger on the Vikings pulse. If we happen to bottle up Cook, and I'm not sure that's going to be as easy as Repent believes, Mike Zimmer is going to throw to Rudolph for first downs until Undlin realizes Rudolph HAS to be covered in man. That might be all the daylight Cook needs to break the game wide open. All Cook needs is to get into the secondary and he's gone.
