Well I'm not saying he is Manziel, but that's who he reminded me of based on the hype and how he throws a lot of passes up for grabs in the general direction of his talented receivers. The kind of stuff that works in college, but won't in the NFL.

He seems to have a strong arm and is accurate, but I question his ability to read a defense. Also at 6'6 and 150 pounds soaking wet, he's going to need to add some bulk to that large frame because the bean pole looks a little fragile lol.

I'm not saying I wouldn't take Lance, but not if some of these other guys are available. I know a lot of it is probably by design, but I don't like how he seems to have an instinct to run too early in a play. I prefer a QB who keeps his eyes downfield as he uses his mobility to buy more time, like Fields.

I can only hope. Based on the Yannick trade and Rick still here though I have a feeling the Wilfs already gave him security for another year.

He was playing against inferior competition and a big questions mark is how he handles real pressure...but what QB coming out of college doesnt have that as a question mark.

and i love that his body is ready for the NFL

id be pumped for any of the big 3 QB's.

i would agree with that order....i just know we wont quite suck enough to get Tlaw. but still excited for any of the 3

I guess you do, because I was talking about our current GM when he was in Miami, they signed Culpepper over Brees. I dont think we had a real shot at Brees but I dont remember

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Ricky was GM for the Miami Dolphins in 2006. The Ricky bashing on here is so over the top at times! Going back 15 years to take a shot at him is quite frankly...weak!

The whole Culpepper/Brees situation dealt with a bunch of shoulder doctors and the Dolphins went with Dante because most if not all of the doctors felt Dante had the better chance of recovery % yada yada yada. This was sometime 2006. Brees wanted a chit load of money I think and that also played a part.

If you want to blame someone from the Dolphins for not getting Drew Brees blame Wannstedt. He had a chance to draft Brees in the 2001 draft but choose to draft Jamar Fletcher. Marino just retired and Jay Fieldler was the starter.

I think Lance is going to be good if he doesn't see the field in '21 and sits behind a guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick or another seasoned vet. Trey Lance has alot of potential but 15 games ago he was a HS Sr. Its not his fault that 2020 basically got wiped out but remember he'll only be 21 when the 2021 season starts. If we want a QB that we can wait on Lance is the guy but i think if Zimmer & Spielman know 2021 is make or break assuming that the Wilfs give them a pass on this year do to young CBs, Hunter not playing a down, Barr lost for the year & another LB needing heart surgery, Ben Gidien(spellimg) not playing as well Covid forcing them to not have OTA's and having our FA NT opt out which all hurt the defense they might be more inclined to get Fields because i think he has more day 1 upside. Like i said in another thread Lawrence should be a 15 year starter but not sure i like him behind our oline

Ok your right..But im also right he drafted Christian Ponder, panic bought SAM BRADFORD for a 1st round pick, and extended a veteran QB for a Wild card victory. Sorry if I dont have the highest hopes for "Slick Rick" to draft our future QB

Unless something drastic happens Kirk is playing for us in 2021. I would be stoked if we drafted Lance or Fields. Having one of them get up to speed while a Kirk plays would be ideal.

His qb history in selecting qb’s whether fa deal, trade or the draft is atrocious.
