Adam Thielen has had plenty of success in recent Week 1 games, and continued that trend again Sunday.

The wide receiver tallied six catches for 110 yards and two scores to pace the Vikings offense. His touchdown receptions were 37 and 19 yards, respectively.

Including Sunday, Thielen now has 24 receptions for 412 yards and three scores in his past four season openers.

Here's a breakdown of his previous Week 1 performances:

2017 vs. Saints: nine catches for 157 yards

2018 vs. 49ers: six catches for 102 yards

2019 vs. Falcons: three catches for 43 yards and a touchdown

2020 vs. Packers: six catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns

The Vikings were successful on all three, 2-point plays Sunday.

Dalvin Cook had a pair of 2-point runs in the fourth quarter, following Thielen's first score and Cook's 7-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.

Thielen added the final 2-point play after his 19-yard touchdown with 81 seconds left in regulation.

The Vikings did not have any 2-point conversions in 2019, missing out on both tries.

I hope we can see some more crazy fast scoring and great execution on the 2 point conversions later this season, as it'd be a waste if that was only something that was going to happen today.

Positives

Cousins ran the ball multiple times and played less conservative.

We scored 34 points.

3-3 on 2pt conversions.

We should have a clearer idea who's the most important man on defense (Hunter).

We should have a better understanding on defense that if we can't create pressure, we will get abused and embarrassed. Maybe we should find "NEW" ways to create pressure.

We should have a good understanding that our current Defensive Tackles are undersized and unproductive. Maybe we should do something to improve that position.

Todays game came at the perfect time against the perfect apponent. We have 15 more games plus the bye to improve before the playoffs.

I do not believe this is the team that will play the next 15 games. This was a Week 1 aberration deal and I think they bounce back pretty strong. Unfortunately if you're going to lay an egg, to do it against GB at HOME is about the worst thing you do.

I felt the Vikings would edge out the Packers for the NFC North this season, but because of this loss, it's going to be the other way around. and worse yet I also think we'll be the top wild card and GB will be the bottom division champ, which means the 1st round playoff game will be us losing at Lambeau. While i think the team overall will be fine this season, I think this loss is going to haunt us come December and January.

There was nothing positive about this game. The coaches all sucked, and the players all sucked (cept the safties and Kendricks, Theirlen was ok but only because of Garbage time). Ricky really sucked in putting this miserable excuse for a team together. Isnt everyone happy Ricky and DIM-MER got extensions? Even the Wilfs suck.

Well I thought Kubiak at o.c. might be a positive after that first drive but perhaps it was just the scripted beginning that made him look good cuz after that it was mostly a hot mess.

Kirk is still the king of garbage time, he lights it up once the game is out of reach. I guess that's a positive for... Kirk's stat sheet, lol.

The real positive was I had a decent day at the sports book.

Liked seeing Cousins avoid pressure and make off-schedule throws.

There were a few plays that I'm certain would have been sacks in previous years, and it looks like he's been addressing that weakness.

LOL, we lost a division game AT HOME, but we looked WAY better then we though you would against your hero, Erin Rogers. Why didnt you predict a Packer win then?
