Wrong on both counts. Only one option "risks" giving him the ball back, the other option DOES give him the ball back. The only option that risks giving him the ball back with a chance to win, is if you fail to gain 1 yard and pick up a first down, but when you factor in how we had been running the ball, particular at that point in the game, and with Seahawks D being exhausted, it was a very low risk. But we're the Vikings so very low usually means "you can count on it going wrong". It's like Murphy's Law, except Vikings Law.

I can't believe what I'm reading around here from the mediocre mindset club lol. Ball-less Zimmer was actually aggressive for once and tried to win a game. If we gotta blame him for something, there are plenty of other things that make more sense. Like his defense giving up a 95 yard TD drive with the game on the line. Or his weird decision to chase the points early and go for 2. And then to not go for 2 that could have given him a 6 point lead. Or still playing Samia. How does anyone blame him for not wanting Wilson to get the ball back by going for the win? That was the whole point right? Wilson was going to lead them on a TD drive there no matter what, so there was only one option that could have prevented that.
