You're correct, having just one solid player does not 'make' the draft class. The 2016 draft class was definitely a downer but when sandwiched in between the 2015 and 2017 drafts, I think we can live with it.

Anyways, getting back on topic, things for the 2014 QB draft class aren't going so well. Bortles is hindering the Jaguars from being a good team, Manziel has already vanished from the rear-view mirror, Bridgewater is still trying to return from exploding knee syndrome, and Carr now has back problems and will miss several weeks. Have fun starting EJ Manuel, Raiders!

I am almost of the opinion that I hope Teddy comes back in a few weeks and the Vikings get a chance to evaluate the QB situation before the next offseason. Too much riding on this.

On the @andycarlsonshow, Darren Wolfson said he saw Teddy Bridgewater throwing off to the side of practice last week. Said he looks really good. Seems like there's no question Bridgewater will be activated as soon as he's allowed to be. Biggest question now is can he take a hit.

That's a huge question. As well as the mental side of it too. Will he be able to trust his new knee 100% as he scrambles on the field, avoiding pressure?

I'd consider Smith but as Aussie says he's under contract and will be 35 by the time he's not, so probably not a great move for us. I don't think we will have exhausted Sloter's potential by next year anyway, and Teddy will probably still be leading us to one TD games next year anyway.

Brees is a beast, but I don't like him. lol.

As far as Smith, I'd be shocked if KC doesn't take calls about his availability this offseason. They have a young QB who will be ready to rock. Why not get a draft pick for a QB you are letting walk a season later? If Smith continues to do well, they'll have to decide to ride with him one more year or trade him for a mid-round draft pick and go all in with Mahomes. Again, I'd be shocked if Smith isn't available for the right price. I actually like Smith, so this would be okay.

HOWEVER, Teddy is my #1. If it wasn't obvious. lol. *goteddy*
