So this year is supposed to be one of the best RB classes in a long time. Here's a list of some of the big names:

Dalvin Cook - Jr Florida State - 5'11 206 - 288 att 1,765 yds 19 TDs - 19 TDs the last 2 seasons

Leonard Fournette - Jr LSU - 6'1 230 - 300 att 1,953 yds 22 TDs

Christian McCaffery - Jr Stanford - 6'0 200 - 337 att 2,019 yds 8 TDs along with 45 receptions 5 TDs

Jeremy McNichols - Jr Boise State - 5'9 212 - 240 att 1,337 yds 20 TDs along with 51 receptions 6 TDs

D'Onte Foreman - Jr Texas - 6'1 249 - 323 att 2,028 yds 15 TDs - appears to be a non-threat catching the ball

Wayne Gallman - Jr Clemson - 6'0 210 - 214 att 1,087 yds 16 TDs

Samaje Perine - Jr Oklahoma - 5'10 235 - 196 att 1,060 yds 12 TDs

Alvin Kamara - Jr Tennessee - 5'10 215 - 103 att 596 yds 9 TDs along with 40 receptions 4 TDs

Corey Clement - Sr Wisconsin - 5'10 227 - 5 TDs in 4 games played this season.

The Vikings after cutting AP will need a new feature back. I think the best bet is to find someone in the draft. Who interests you as a potential feature back to draft?

McCaffery or McNichols could work. Would be looking more at 3rd or 4th round options.

Do they really? How many balls did Zeke, Howard, and Ajayi catch? They were only at 32, 29, and 27 a piece.

Do they need to be able to catch or run WR routes? AD was catching 30 passes a year when he wasn't suspended or missing a season and that wasn't good enough for a lot of people, so how many balls do you need your RB to catch?

I think you have to look at the main back catching around 50 passes. Most clubs now use the short pass as a running game, so the back has to catch passes. Look at Darren Nelson who could take an LB deep. That spreads the defense, so the RB has to be accounted for.
If Peterson had been able to catch the ball, the Vikes would have been close to unstoppable,because he could run over DB's and some LB's We probably Need more than 1 RB, so fix the OL in free angency and draft RB's and defense.

Okay so then you don't want a guy like Zeke, Howard, or Ajayi? Like what passes do you want your RB to catch? Or better yet what routes do you want them to run? Cause again AD was fine catching all the basic RB routes.

How many RBs do you think run downfield routes in the NFL??

I think what's higher on the priority list is a feature back who could handle 25+ touches a game.

A lot, just depends on whether it is a fulltime running back or a scatback. Darrin Nelson and Doug Martin both come quickly to mind.

Alvin Kamara can rub, catch, and block, but he is not a big back. Curtis Samuel is fast, runs well, and has good hands. He may grade out as a wide receiver like Percy Harvin.

Fournette & Dalvin Cook will almost certainly be gone by the time the Vikings first selection rolls around.

I'm not really liking Samuel as a Viking selection,we need a true running back,and Samuel seems to be viewed as more of a receiver.

D'Onta Foreman is another guy I like.He's a real load who is capable of punishing would be tacklers.If this guy gets loose in the defensive backfield,good luck trying to stop him!

Please tell us Mini,what is it exactly that Alvin Kamara can rub?? (roflmao)
