None of these guys are proven at the next level. None. But who do/did you want between 105-116 that you're fearful we miss out on?

We pick at 117. 12 picks later. With our 13 picks, we could trade up to or near 107 pretty easily. I don't get it... We could be right back up within two slots of 105 if we wanted! What's the big deal here?

I think people value the title of "3rd round pick" over "4th round pick". Must be sexier, but when you look at the context here ... ? 12 slots, guys ... and that's only IF we stay put.

Sure. Using your own logic, these picks aren't proven commodities, so there is no reason to get so upset about not picking at 105, but instead picking at 107-117. Right? Right?

As far as Diggs, it's too early to tell who won that trade. As of now, both did. We'll know more in a few years. But Diggs was a 5th rounder, right? What's that say for all of you guys pretending these day 3 picks are worthless/annoying?

This trade wasn't bad at all. It was a compensatory super late 3rd round pick, essentially a 4th. We're going to be alright. Let's see if we can land a few contributors/future starters tomorrow!

Exactly, you're going to have more luck finding a quality long term starter the higher you draft, or at the very least some potential depth that can contribute right away, which to me is more of a priority than stocking up on a bunch of would-be UDFA's that will only be around long enough for us to field a team in the 4th preseason game.

Wait, why do you assume someone wants to be miserable just because they're not happy with something the Vikings have done? When I'm disappointed with something the Vikings have done, it's because I don't want to be miserable. That makes more sense. I gave it an F because 1) I don't do things half-assed xD, and 2) we would have better luck finding value, or a contributing player with a higher pick. I think someone said this earlier, but stockpiling 13 picks on day 3 is the equivalent of throwing a whole bunch of sh*t at the wall and hoping something sticks.

Value in terms of what? When you look at the data, late round picks don't amount to any kind of value for your team. I mean what's the goal here? Do you just want a bunch of bodies in camp, or do you want some players who actually have a shot of making the team?

To be fair, Rick has actually bombed in the 3rd round. He's well below the league average in terms of finding value. In fact he's much better in the 4th and 6th round. Not so good in the 5th or 7th.

That 4th round helps him a lot, but he's still below average in the crap flinging department of rounds 5-7.

Trading down. Rick traded down, got more picks, and still got his guy at #31. What's the issue? He would've picked him at #25, too. Win-win there.

This trade down, again, we would have picked at 105. As it stands now, we pick just 12 slots later. Do you think pick 105 (round 3) is a better place to hit on elite talent than pick 107-117 (round 4)? Why? Because of the round 3 label? Look at the context! It's just a few slots! This isn't round one; it's late 3rd/early 4th.

The outrage that we witnessed here when Rick traded back was unwarranted. I get it. It's cute and funny to criticize Rick, trader Rick, Rick and his 7th rounders, etc. But...

What elite talent did we miss out on at 105? Who are you guys so worried about missing out on from 105-116? If you're going to say value doesn't exist, then don't argue that it does in the same breath. Realistically, pick 105 and 107-117 have very similar value. Certainly close enough to not get upset over. But who are the prospects we can't afford to miss out on? I'm still waiting to put names on all the overreactions and outrage. If there are no names to be offered up, I'm going to have to believe people are just complaining to complain, because of Rick, and his trade downs. No more, no less.

Wow, and I thought the blind love for Zimmer was bad, doesnt compare to the mad love for a used car salesman like Ricky. Maybe we can get really lucky and Ricky can trade every 4th and 5th rd picks we have for 7th rd picks!!! Lol
