Is the 22nd pick to see how JJ does vs what could have been. Rick could have traded back with both picks and could have came away with 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th. Not sure if JJ was worth losing out on a 2nd and 3rd rd pick vs many other receivers still on the board.
It will also be interesting who will hit and who won't at WR because at best it's a 50/50 chance.
What I don't like about our pick is the ceiling isn't much more than it is now with JJ and he shares more in common with AT then Diggs or another outside option. He isn't going to open up the outside nor does he have breakaway speed. If you watch film he doesn't play fast. Not slow just not fast so he reminds me of Tredwell in that aspect.
That leads to another point is Kirk doesn't throw people open you have to be open for him to give you a shot.
I dont care about straight speed in the 40 in shorts I like it on the field in pads and I didn't see it on the field. I truly hope they identified a true fit with this pick I just don't see it yet but like always will give it some time.
