You're probably wondering, what the heck is PPA?
Well...
To all of our aspiring NFL-scouts-in-the-making, NFL-coaches-in-the-making, and NFL-GMs-in-the-making...
PPA - Purple Pain Accountability
Every year, we have people making bold predictions and assertions regarding the Vikings, the draft, the other NFCN teams, and the NFL as a whole. With this thread - and PPA threads, in general - we're going to put people to the test! We're going to keep track of said bold predictions/assertions, so we can look back on them. So many of them get lost in various threads - never to be found again, only spoken of/referred to - so put yours here! Also, if some are seen in various threads around the board, feel free to quote and copy/paste them here, as well! Let's have a little fun with this moving forward, maybe even making it a fun little competition down the line if enough people are interested.
One inspiration for this idea comes from the radio station SKOR North - they do a weekly "accountability session" where they make three predictions and go back and grade past weeks' statements to see if they came out true or false, and rank everyone based on "batting average" and "slugging" (how accurate they predict and how many "home run" picks they get right). We don't think we would exactly replicate this process, but perhaps if we get a decent response, starting with the NFL Draft, we can find a way to make it into a competition, possibly with prizes. This is just the very early stages of this, so we won't get too carried away with making promises, but...
Give us a few of your 2020 Draft Assertions:
We've all seen posters say, "I would have done this..." or "...I never liked that guy when we drafted him. I was high on this guy instead." We've all read the posts, most of which seem to be in hindsight, right? And unless we have a great memory to remember specific posts and/or knew where to find said posts, we'd have no way to actually go back and look up who actually thought what. That's what these PPA threads are going to be about. Just a better, more organized way to keep track of our assertions. So let's put ourselves out there a bit RIGHT NOW, PRE-draft, with some of our strong beliefs about this upcoming draft: who is going to rise/fall, who is going to be a star, who is going to bust, etc.
So, give us a few of your (somewhat quantifiable) 2020 Draft Assertions. GO!!!

Have a look at the Google Sheet to check on your current predictions:

A few other notes:
Predictions that are hard to quantify / have questionable criteria will need to be amended or thrown out. The predictions that do not have a "likelihood" rating fall into this category.
Please don't make any predictions that will span over a term of further than 4 years from now. That's just too far in the future!
We're still fleshing this competition out, so I'm not exactly sure how many predictions everyone should be making... but for now, you're free to make as many as you wish. Though if you make too many I will stop you at some point!
