It's all going to boil down to how well Case plays and how consistent he is. If he's up and down 50/50 in his remaining starts then you have to consider starting Sam if he's healthy. In fact you gotta start Sam a couple more times before the playoff game. I don't think we can have him sit the entire season and then throw him in there just for the playoff game. If that's the case, then you gotta stick with Case and only go to Sam if Case is stinking it up early in the playoff game. I'd keep Teddy on the shelf the whole season unless things go tits up and the playoffs slip away, or if Case and Sam both look like crap, which if they do, then we're most likely eliminated by that point anyway. As I've said earlier in the season, if we start seeing Teddy, then it means things aren't going well, otherwise there's no reason to have him play.
Barring a spectacular performance culminating in a super bowl ring and Teddy showing his knee is 100%, we will know one thing for sure: We can't have Teddy as our only starter. At the very most he'll have 7-8 regular season games and that simply won't be enough to say "yeah, this is our man". So we already know we are going to need another QB option in the offseason, whether Teddy plays a single snap. It would be nice to know if he's complete garbage now, but hopefully that test won't come at a high cost.
I'd rather see what Sloter has this year than see what Teddy has, because I already have a pretty good idea on him.
