How often you score compared to how often you turn the ball over is quite obviously one of the absolute most important thing for a QB, and Teddy hardly scored more then he turned the ball over for us.
Oh okay, so Bradford had more TDs only due to more atts, gotcha, except, heres the issue... he also had way less INTs on less atts! Lmao you really didnt think that one through very hard, did you?
2015 Teddy 17 turnovers
2016 Bradford 15 turnovers
You win that one, but it's not a huge margin.
Your argument amounts to as follows "TDs and INTs dont matter but YPA does!", yea, no. Nooone on Earth would choose the QB with a slightly higher YPA and worse TD rate, worse INT rate, and worse TD to INT ratio. Literally noone. That's completely silly.
And no, I never said Passing TDs don't matter. I said garbage time TDs don't matter. Garbage time stats don't matter to me if the game is never elevated out of garbage time. You don't seem to think rushing TDs = passing TDs, though...
YPA matters, yet you hate it for some unexplained reason...? Probably because Rodgers' 2015 YPA was less, lol. I've found it helpful alongside yards/TDs/ints/passer rating. How could you hate this stat that is built off yardage, which I thought was something that is important to you?
Nope, didnt miss it at all, just doesn't help your argument. Were measuring Teddy vs Bradford, Teddy scored way less TDs then Bradford, your excuse that he had less atts would be fine and dandy.... if he didnt also have more INTs lol. That Bradford produced way better with less of a team around him further helps my point.
Yes, 4 less INTs on more atts, you seem to like excusing Bradford's 11 extra TDs due to higher attempts, but yet you dont seem to find issue with him having 4 less INTs on that higher number of attempts? That seems pretty biased and inconsistent wouldn't you say? We have been measuring worth as a passer this whole time, so fumbles really arent relevant.
Yes, more points is better then less points. Bradford scored more points then Bridgewater, while also throwing less picks, so that's better isnt it? Were comparing individual players, not offenses. Bridgwater being a lesser part of a better O does not > Bradford being a greater part of a better O.
Oh okay, so then if your going to count rushing TDs with Bridgewater manning QB position as reflective of his ability to move the ball, then we also need to do the same for Bradford, no?
There is nothing to indicate Bradford racked up more garbage time numbers then Bridgwater, so that excuse wont work.
I do think rushing TDs are as good as pass TDs, but we are comparing Bridgwater to Bradford, so rushing TDs that other playerd score arent relevant. And if you count other players rushing TDs for Bridgwater, then you have to do the same for Bradford.
I dont hate YPA, but I do hate the idea of pretending it's even half as important as TD rate, INT rate, TD to INT ratio, passer rating etc. That's ridiculous. YOA is negligible nonsense compared to all of the above.
Yes, Rodgers had a lower YPA in 2015, but 31 TDs to 7 INTs and a higher rating. Would you take Bridgwater 2015 over Rodgers 2015? Do you think anyone would? If not, why?
