So did you view Kirk as that coming into the NFL? How about the Redskins. If you don't swing the bat you will never hit the ball. It boils down to Rick not being able to swing the bat more then any other excuse people can give.
You don't have to give up major capital but you sure as hell have to swing the bat.
Did I view Kirk as what? What QB do you want Rick to "swing the bat" at and what do you want to pay for the privilege? Who's the trading partner?
I thought they should have dealt Diggs for a 2021 first from the Giants and try to swing the bat at Trevor Lawrence but that's not how it went down obviously.
It's not my intent to wring my hands about what Rick does or doesn't do, I'm just trying to get a handle on what's actually happening. I've stated multiple times that I think outcomes now are more about Zimmer's ceiling than anything else.
If they want to chase a title using Kirk they need to at least build a better oline. These are all givens along with the extension of Kirk, Diggs trade, guys let go, etc. b*tching doesn't change any of it.
No b*tching doesn’t, but calling it what it is and not dancing to the Viking drum is much better and more productive. I don’t think Kirk can carry this team like the elite qbs can, I think we can all agree with this. But I do think Kirk is an above average qb. Who knows, maybe if we have 3 pb caliber olineman and 2 above average guys like the cowboys had a few years ago maybe he can get us to the dance. But how are we going to put that caliber of an oline together? Besides having a terrible track record with qb’s rick also almost as badly struggles with building an oline. Maybe this is where kubiak comes in and actually gets some pull with helping scouting and determining which olineman we should take in the draft. But our only sliver of hope for Kirk to lead us to a sb win is the oline has to get much much better and that means we needs some new players/talent there.
