I didn't want Kirk McSlowread signed in the first place. I said it would put the Vikings in cap hell for years, and he wasn't a good enough player to do that. This guy makes the slowest reads in the NFL, even slower than the qualified backups, and he gets the contract extension?
All I keep reading is that Cousins has a great arm, but I have not seen many in stride deep throw from him since he got here, and his short throws are often off target. Receivers have to slow down or speed up drastically to catch his passes, and that is if Kirk actually sees them.
The deal is bad because the player is not worth it. He doesn't have that added value. I wish I was wrong, but I don't see anything to convince me this guy is THE GUY to get it done in Minnesota.
I don't care what team you put around Kirk, he's not going to be any better than what he is now! It's too late in his career to change. The O Line theory would work if Kirk was in his early twenties as oppose to being in his thirties. He's been in the league too long to change now! I agree with you wholeheartedly!
