You're not the only one! I feel the same way! I don't think he's the man for the job either. He's big time overrated! He can be inconsistent at times. Everyone makes a big deal about the yards he throws for! Individual stats do not win you ball games. The last I checked, playing as a team wins you ball games! I was rooting for the Jets to take him. I never liked Kirk when he came out of college. I'm going to say this, as many times as people want to say GIVE HIM AN O LIIIIIIINE!!! GIVE HIM AN O LIIIIINE!!! That should be the new Skol chant by the way, Hahaha! I'm going to say this, and I've said it over and over again, as long as the Vikes keep Kirk Cousins, they go nowhere and I DID NOT STUTTER!!

I don't care what team you put around Kirk, he's not going to be any better than what he is now! It's too late in his career to change. The O Line theory would work if Kirk was in his early twenties as oppose to being in his thirties. He's been in the league too long to change now! I agree with you wholeheartedly!

Well my bar is set on a HC and QB that can actually win consistently vs better teams with winning records and also beating division rivals. That would be a starting point. If you can do that a SB is at least in reach. Both have proven they can't nor will they unless you're willing to wait for that squirrel to find a nut.

Look at each Zimmers and Kriks wins that have come vs quality opponents and there isn't much in the way of high level football. The hell with the ff stats and bloated wins vs lesser teams. Lucky for both they can thrive there. Give me some real substance.

And performing in late game situations to pull the team together for the win. Kirk has 1 of those with the Vikings in New Orleans last year. Other than that he has strugggled many times when the team is down by 7 or more points going into the 4th quarter to put the team on his back and lead them to a win. You want to know why? Because he obviously isn’t that qb. He is a good but not great qb. Has some good qualities about him, but his flaws are fatal in trying to win a sb with. He can help you stay over .500 and get into the playoffs. But that is who he is. At this point that shouldn’t be any kind of surprise or something that should escape people. I think the guy seems like a nice person have heard him in interviews. I wish nothing but the best for him. But it’s easy to figure out just how far the team can go with him as the qb.

It certainly was win-win for him. He sacrificed nothing to free up 10 million in cap while signing an extension that when combined with his previous 3 years, will be a better contract than Aaron Rodgers and Russel Wilson got.

We mostly agree on this one. Wilf's ambitious but competence is another issue. His misguided notion that the organization is a "family" tends to cause it to make bad business decisions at times. And the idea of a family is rich irony considering how he treated his business partners back in Jersey. The Viking family is just part of his fantasy football exercise which started with the t.o.a. and all his awful hirings, and has led us slowly to where we are today. An organization that every year believes it's "close" when the facts on the field say otherwise.
