It's the old scare tactics..... "be careful what you wish for... it can always be worse!!!"
Give it a break people....
It can also, GASP, be a helluva lot better.
Look at Mahomes. Look at Lamar Jackson.
Drafted in 1st, sat for a year, then started the following season.
Stop the fear mongering. It is the weakest sh*t ever......
I agree with that totally. Here is the problem with Kirk.....he is a good but not great qb. Which means he has limitations and things that hold him back from consistently being the reason the team wins. And the big problem with that is we need to add a lot of talent around him to win the sb. If his contract is eating up a big chunk of cap space, we won’t have $ to bring in or retain the talent we need to surround him with.
Here is another problem. We are paying him a ton of $ using a lot of cap space on him and 2 wr ‘s, but Zimmer wants to run the ball more than pass. I have no problem with using your best weapon (cook) and running the ball a lot and trying to play great defense. But when you are paying your qb a ton of $ and 2 wr’s who all 3 eat into the cap significantly, then you are doing the square peg into a round hole thing. If that is the team we are trying to incorporate, then a cheaper qb and only 1 highly paid wr is needed and you allocate the savings into trying to fix the oline and dline and draft the sh!t out of defensive players and an olineman or 2.
My philosophy for building an nfl team is find a gm who has had success identifying talent at qb in the draft in the past and then bring in a hc who’s strength is developing qbs and offense and then build your team through finding that qb they identify and through the trenches (oline and dline). If you are rock solid in those 3 areas in qb, oline, and dline your going to have a successful team continuously. It’s the Philadelphia Eagles philosophy and the Baltimore ravens. Both those teams are consistently good for the most part and competing.
Lol come on man...
If only NFL teams realized they just need to draft the right QBs and properly develop them. What's the holdup?!
