1 grain of salt is worth a million times more than anything you have tried to bring to the table. Since reading comprehension is an utter failure on your end I'll spell it out in simple term for you. I don't give a flying f*ck what any coach has done in the past if he is currently sucking as a Vikings coach. What I care about is what is going on under the roof of the team I follow. I don't care if we have 15 coaches in house that have had winning records and sb rings. If the Vikings suck with them in house I don't care what the past was. Zimmer and Kubiak have both shown they suck. The fact that Zimmer and Spielman are so lousy we have to settle yet again us all I need going forward. Not one damn OC or any position coach promoted under Zimmer has done a thing to help us win. I'm glad you feel a washed up double stroked out coach will be our saving grace. I mean look at how great we did with him in year 1. Year 2 will just be 100 times better. Rinse spit repeat. Cant believe how naive and gullible many of you still are.

I'm not here to cater to your demands nor do I have to prove my stance when you have nothing but conjecture. Why does one side always want facts yet have none themselves.

Beilichick appears to be the only Coach in the NFL worth keeping. I have heard 5 years is the metric. So if you haven't won the Super Bowl in 5 years you should be replacing your coach.

Yep, which is what I've been saying for months now. There is only ONE truly great coach. Zimmer falls in the GOOD coach category. Generally, you don't throw good coaches away so easily, definitely not as easily as 90% of the people around here want to. Good Lord!

He does if you believe as you do. If you believe like others he isn't even good. Good would mean many things like self growth getting more from players being able to be up in big games beating above average teams being able to beat division rivals. Not just hit and miss and once in awhile. He has failed where it matters in many areas and 6 years is more than enough time to judge that. Also being able to put a staff together which is his to do and he has failed in that aspect as well. Maybe the 90% have better judgment then the 10%. Ever think about that?

I don't hate Zimmer the person or Spielman I just don't like them in their positions. We need change to move forward. This is a business not a friendship. I like the Vikings not a GM HC OC DC player if they're worth their salt in other words elite at what they are expected then keep them until they don't. I have never liked a person or player more than the team. I thi k many get caught up in personal favorites and it clouds their judgment to be honest.

I'm assuming that if you or ANYONE else who's scornful of the idea of replacing Zimmer (or Spielman, for that matter) had ANY explanation of why you believe they're going to be the first HC and GM to break two decades of precedent by pulling a Super Bowl appearance out of their backsides after a cumulative 20 years on the job, we'd have heard it by now.

Not trying to "refute" your claim. I am simply pointing out that of those coaches the only one to win a Super Bowl the last 5 years is Belichick, therefore according to the the "5 year plan" the other don't have a winning culture or the owners are simply in it for making money. Now, Andy Reid may break that in this Super Bowl, But, apparently getting to the Super Bowl is what defines a "winning culture".

That's probably a great point. We know he's most likely not interested in a HC gig. On the other hand, his health concerns could still make him a short term option, and at a moments notice. Hopefully Clint is ready and prepared to take over if we need it. Lets just hope it's not another Sparano situation.

I don't know how I feel about this promotion yet. He's more than qualified and has won 4 Super Bowls. Once as HC when he helped the Broncos hoist a Lombardi without a QB. With a QB like Cousins and a backfield like ours, maybe he's the perfect guy for the job. Not that I'm optimistic about a 1970's style offense winning in this current passer friendly era, but if you're going to do it, might as well have one of the best.

And why hire someone outside the organization when we could be cleaning house next year?
